I'm at fitday.com and in shows: Calories Burned Today source cals % total Total: 2893 Basal: 1961 68% Lifestyle: 380 13% Activities: 552 19% I used a conservative estmate with my activities (45mins worth, figure technique work doesn't count for much), but it still reckons I'm burning almost 2900 calories! Surely that can't be right? 'cause if I was looking to bulk up, I'd be aiming for ~3500 calories a day. Or is it that 600 calories/day (4200 calories/week) that allows us to put on the mass? That's kind of scary now you think about how easily it is to consume ~500 calories over what you should be, making you turn in a fatty boombar! So if I'm looking to lose weight, I'd want to keep calories at no more than ~2300-2500 a day? Just want someone to confirm it for me, or tell me if I'm wrong! I want to minimise muscle loss whilst I'm cutting.
You can't trust fitday.com entirely, but if you were to take it as a rough guide to how many calories you burn daily, simply subject 500 a day to cut, and add 500 a day to bulk. Jack
