NOOO! Not Holywood actors trying to do Chen Taiji... please don't make me watch. That aside, the demonstrating guy is good, but there's no way Jackman can do anything more than a poor imitation with less than a year or two of practice...
Don't worry, if he does any in this movie, I'm sure that it is going to be VEEEEERRRRRRRYYYYY little.
Well they could solve that problem by outfiting the Chen stylist demonstrating on the youtube videos with motion capture sensors, then have an animated dummy of Jackman dance through the form. It would be interesting to see how good (or bad) the resulting animation might look. It seems to be a story about reincarnation. IN three lifetimes, we see Hugh Jackman (as a conquistador in 1500, a medical scientist of some sort in 2000, and some thing else in some far flung future), struggle to save Rachel Wiesz. The story involves some kind of mythical tree of life whose sap either confers immortality, or dooms people to endless rounds on some kind of tragic karmic treadmill. My guess that, in one of Jackman's lives, he learns and practices taijiquan.
