One of my students is looking for a recommendation for a martial arts instructor in Basingstoke England. He is a tall/big man recovering from some health issues. He'd like something where he can get fitter and learn some practical techniques. I would recommend a great instructor over a particular style. Any recommendations, please? Thank you
I found twork BJJ clubs, one is ran by a black belt and that is: INSTRUCTORS I'm going off their website. Only thing that bothered me is listing their 4 stripe purple belts as "4th degree purple belts". Regardless I'm sure the instruction would be good. The other place I found teaches BJJ and TKD. The BJJ instructor I'd a brown belt under a different lineage: http://www.basingstokesma.co.uk Can't really comment on the TKD because I know nothing about TKD.
I'd recommend Hampshire Self Protection, teaching Shotokan, JKD concepts and RBSD. Ian is a really good coach.
