It's been a while since I left Nottingham and with it my old Wing Chun class. In my laziness, I didn't find a replacement, I got myself a sitting down office job and have pretty much stagnated in the last 1.5 years, healthwise. For the first time in my high-metabolistic life, the unimaginable has happened and I've actually started getting fat!! So I've found my old skipping rope, bought a book on running and tried plowing my way through this Hundred Push Up Challenge. (It's been 8 weeks but I'm still trying! ) Anyhow, I want to take up a Martial Art again. I'm not looking for a particular at but the club needs to meet 3 criteria: Location: Either in the town centre or the Narborough Road Area (I'm planning to move there in January) No traditions/formalities - I find them unnecessary and they take away from the training. A focus on sparring/application I'm currently extremely unfit, I'm a complete pussy when it comes to sparring, but so long as I'm not thrown straight into the deep end I think I'll survive... ps. I know I can google it and I'll be doing that too Just looking to see if anyone had any personal experience they could share

I'll second that.. Levo is a nice guy and I think that they have something good to offer... I also attended an open mat session years ago and the guys were great. It's all about what you want but certainly I think it meets your criteria. Levo recently got his? blue belt in BJJ (continues to expand his knowledge and isn't too proud to learn what others have to offer). powchoy
