Bulking up

Discussion in 'Health and Fitness' started by Vimtoforblood, May 12, 2005.

  1. I would be interested to hear how different sleeping habits would affect things.

  2. What is ZMA by the way?

rest/sleep is just as imporant as training,

diet/rest/training if you have all 3 you will achieve to your best abilities

Google it. It's a zinc/magnesium/B6 combination which helps with testosterone but most people find it gives them much deeper sleep and sometimes some pretty awesome dreams :)

Sleep is very important in recovery and growth. It's a topic on itself really, but if you aren't getting enough sleep then you are severely hampering your gains.

hmmm, yes. sleep. I'm afraid I don't get enough... one of the reasons I'm changing my jobs (well, that and mullah). Have to look into this ZMA.

    Appreciate the link, as well.

It's funny you should say that, I recently started taking zinc at night and have had some very 'real' dreams, interesting.

Which of the 3 is it that gives you the deeper sleep? Or is it the combination of the 3?

I've been taking GABA, which is supposed to increase growth hormone levels. But also gives you a good nights sleep :)

Fantastic post. How true you are. I hate seeing people doing bicep curls in the squat rack. :woo:

It should be in the contract that they sign to join the gym

    3. You must wear towels when using equipment

    4. You must not do bicep curls or any other little isolation exercise in the squat rack

Pay attention to your diet, eat six meals a day (healthy meals) Use weights at least three times a week. Make a schedule. For example:

    Monday: Biceps, Chest,Triceps, Shoulders, forearms

    Wednesday: Thighs, Quads, Calves, Hamstrings

Friday: Abdomed, Upper and Lower back, Obliques.
