Buka Jalan Hi! I would like if anyone can help tell me the masters (&roots of BJ) of Guru Cass Magda and your opinion about the system. Thanks.
Buka Jalan means "Opening the Way" and is Cass' Silat system. I have been training in this (along with JKD and Kali/Escrima) for a few years and we do a lot of Serak. However, we also look at other Silat systems, like Cimande, Harimau etc. I find the Silat to be a very technical art, but I like the philosophy behind it (forward pressure, being the director etc).
