Yes it is. The training theories look sound, even if the technical aspects seem over the top. I think the cartoon is licensed in the U.S.
Yeh I heard about this title. Mostly praises about how much fun it is, although I am finding some difficulty getting the manga (dont like internet reading or buying). One Boxing drama i enjoyed was One Pound Gospel by Rumiko Takahashi (ranma 1/2 , Maison Ikkoku) about a boxer who cant control his weight level because he loves to pig ouut and is in love with a Nun who he visits for confession regularly. The 2 have feelings for each other but cant expresse them freely, mostly to shyness of both characters but usually using the Nun's vows as an excuse. Unfortunatly Viz comics stopped producing this manga in english quite a while back and only up to a few books. I think its been moved to a different publisher but havent seen it around.
