I'd sat either Jean Yves or Benny 'the jet'...

The difference is that at that time the Americans were running on about how unbeatable they were and that they'd take on anyone and win.

While it's undeniable there were many that were good... some that were great... they weren't unbeatable. When several of them got soundly trounced in Thailand all of sudden they ended up with egg on their faces.

The Thai's weren't running around waggin' their gums. They'd already had hundreds of years of fighting before Benny the Jet was even born. :D

yeah... because thailand is and always has been the country to beat when it comes to stand up fighting. for any discipline. I just think its sad that names like Rob Kaman, Ramon Dekkers, and Danny Bille get no recognition despite what they did, while people like Benny get all the glory.

its all about marketing and all that american ******** hype machine
sorry if the americans are offended by this

Rob Kamen / Ramon Dekker all the way leaving little room for 2nd place
Under FC rules id say superfoot at the time Or Rick Roufus

Superfoot only fought americans though didnt he?
Did he ever fight a french or british or dutch?
    enlighten me please

    oh and norm:
the PKA you are part of is not the same PKA that used to be called the "professional karate association"
That particular PKA went defunct and was quickly replaced by the ISKA.
    Sorry to burst your bubble.

  7. I think I know my organisation. Who brought American Kickboxing over to the UK?

    What IS American kickboxing??

PS To call yourself "greatest" or "the best" without traveling and fighting around the globe is silly. Those who hunger for that type of recognition travel or take challenges.

PPS http://members.aol.com/Thaiboxing2000 It's worth your time...

    Ikken Hiatsu:
    trolling is irrelevant
the whole point is on who really brought kickboxing to the UK
and who really started it off
For you to jump on a bandwagon just becasue norm is your mate is basically ,.. well stupid! No offence meant obviously

    Norm:
the name "kickboxingidiot " says it all :p

The All Japan Kickboxing Federation started kickboxing off
The PKA were calling their sport "Full Contact Karate " for years.
The original kickboxing is what the japanese were doing and it has now gone full circle i.e. back to K-1

Also what the PKA advocate is not "full contact karate" but "light contact Karate"

Also why do they need to use the word "continuous " Surely ALL kickboxing includes fighting continuously?

The REAL pioneers of Full contact in Britain were the ECKA .
Most of the big names in Full contact came from the ECKA system.

Try telling Paul Hennessey that PKA are the be all and end all of british kickboxing!!!

What? never heard of paul henessey?

    Fair coment Ikken Hiatsu
    BUT
the PKA that norm is a member of is NOT the sanem, PKA that staretd off full contact karate in the uSA

ok maybe i was beign inflammatory about it
but youve got to understand that i dont like it whenb instructors lie to their students.

please learn to type, it isnt hard, this isnt irc. you are allowed to proof read ;)

  17. If the IKF decide to stop doing full contact and concentrate on points fighting, they are still the IKF (so long as their name stays the same). Mike Haig brought American Kickboxing over - fact. He is the president of our organisation. It is still called the PKA, and therefore still IS the PKA. What they advocate is irrelevant. The PKA went defunct in AMERICA. Mike Haig, owner of the present PKA was one of the leading members of the Professional karate association.

    2 points:

•No instructor has lied to me - this is a product of what I have researched.
•I don't like it when YOU lie to ME :)

EDIT: Just read the post before your last one: Full contact karate then. I'm not getting into terminology-wars. You knew what I meant.

  18. I had gathered, thanks.

Which has zero relevance to the topic

    And?

You like the word irrelevant, it seems Apply it to this :)

Points kickboxing, sanctioned by the IKF is not continuous

Superfoot, The Jet, Don Wilson, Joe Lewis?

    Who said they were.

    obviously brain washed im afraid!

    Youre accusing me of lying???

    Points kickboxing???
    as in point fighting?
    you call that kickboxing?

you really dont have a clue do you

  20. Just tell me how, and I'll decide.

And you're accusing my coaches, and a large number of internet sites of lying?

No, as in points kickboxing. Go to the IKF and read it (Judging by your spelling/grammar, I know that is not possible). Not points fighting as in karate.

Of course. You don't have a brain, but am I complaining?

EDIT: Oh, and BTW, congrats on answering precisely NONE oof my points.
