So the elbow was a "foul blow"? Odd, since the brief Broughton and LPR rules say nothing about it. Possibly an "unwritten rule". There's nothing in the CP rules against kicks either, but I've seen no evidence they were used. Perhaps it was simply assumed that CP was a "fistfight". (Headbutts notwithstanding.)

So far as I know ,there is only one in Melbourne. His name is Barry Albon and he's been teaching me savate/lacanne for the last few years. I don't have a phone number for him at present, but if you want I could ask him next time. One thing though: Barry teaches the older, "defensive" savate techniques, not the modern "sport" version. As such it's all low kicks, elbows/hammerfist/knees/palms etc. If you are looking for something you can take to tournaments this isn't it.
