I've been practicing Cimande since October last year, I just was curious as to whether it would benefit my Silat to practice Mande Muda alongside it. How does Mande Muda differ from Cimande? I've also heard Mande Muda has a Harimau element what is it like? videos or comments would be appreciated.
You have a wealth of material in Cimande alone. I would stick to working that for some years before you look at mixing it up.
Stick with Cimande, it is a good style. Especially with any Silat styles, stay until you get to the weapons training. Make sure you put in scenario based sparring time once you're ready, empty hand and especially with mock weapons. Real life altercations rarely are unarmed when it is criminal imho. And enjoy the ride, learn the language and the culture. Have fun there first... Make lotsa friends... It ain't WHAT you do really, it's how well you do it.
