I need a new freeware antivirus fly-swatter. I was using AVG, which was working wonderfully until I had to update it. Now, it happily found the 36 infected (apparently registry) files, but can't do a damn thing about them. Can't heal them, can't virus vault them, can't do anything. I don't want to tamper with my registry unless I absolutely have to, because I learned from experience that making the wrong 1 into a 0 can be a very bad thing.

    bcullen They are all perfect.

Are they viri or trojans and spyware? AV software misses the "friendly website viri" very often. What registry keys?

Are any of these related to wwwcoolsearch.com, the 180searchassitant or Bullseye network?

Try asking for help on our other site... www.easy-tek.com

You'll get a more focused answer there. In fact - I think the new changes at AVG have been the subject of a recent thread.
