Another Toshindo DVD course? Anyone know a (Master) Keith Copeland? Lot's of mention of Bujinkan but the pics look like Toshindo. http://www.ninja-training-techniques.com/ And this: "Powerful elemental ninja techniques based on the elements of earth, water, wind and fire". Seems to seal it as him being Toshindo. When will people realise you cannot learn martial arts from a DVD.
"I watched a lot of ninja turtle cartoons, does that mean I can skip to the advanced section sensei?"
And he writes articles about things too. Is that how omote gyaku is taught by SKH? http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Omote-Gyaku--How-To-Do-The-Technique/1273232
Why would you seek to draw attention or correct it. This is a perfect example of how kyo within Densho can be very useful.
"Finally... killer techniques" in big red font tells me more than everything I need to know to form a negative opinion of the site
Yep...the following words are where these places always show emphasis: Killer Master Secret Defeat bigger, stronger attackers Easy online/dvd Always in red or bold are these words
 Maybe a thread ought to be started of the most extreme, fecthed, bizarre training sites......
I would certainly enjoy a thread like that Though nothing will beat the C.R.A.P parody advert someone wrote on here a few years ago
We could go to a site, screen/save, then alter actual people's identities, and make a go of it OOOO NOOO... I had to return and edit this post when I read this testimonial; I believe the biggest difference for me will be the knowledge that I can use what I am learning and what I know in all areas of me life. The most challenging thing for me is to expand my “Watery” side. I must stop charging ahead at all costs all the time. Mr. Copeland, I wish to visit your school and maybe sign up for instruction. I know the arts of defense as intended for the whole person; mind, body and spirit. I feel this may be just what I need! John Smith (really!) Teacher *The bold had me laughing so hard
His students put on good demos though: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ruVoPWWOj0"]Quest Martial Arts Summer Black Belt Demos - 08 - YouTube[/ame] Check at just past 50 secs for one of the best pirouettes I've seen in a MA demo. Looks like the master(of living the dream) appears too at 4:50. So impressive!
Just goes to show you can be the size of an industrial fridge, and still float like a butterfly and sting like a bee, with all those deadly ninja moves! Love the maroon gi tops though ! John smith (really!) Teacher
At 1:05, he says "put the knife down take it easy" and then proceeds to "defend" by standing directly in the line of attack of this downward knife attack with his feet apart and doesn't move an inch? I know its a demo but really... As an aside, I think he might be winded after the warmup in our class Does the demo by the gentleman at 4:50 and on remind you of anyone?
Hmmmm. Ed Martin ? He's got that 'its just so easy! Anyone can do it! Ya just gotta lift your arm and people fall over!' Thing happening Maybe one of papa smurfs students too ? Hence the bujinkan link, offering buj. Certificates etc.? My theori is mr copeland did skh home study course then proceeded to train with Ed Martin. What a combo!
And there's more ( Irish accent) http://www.quest-martialarts.com/AnnArbor-martial-arts-instructors.html
