It's gonna be as effective as many other MAs. I would like to see the techniques in real life though - the video looks a bit jumpy to me. Alot of martial arts train to defend against particular "set" attacks, whether disabled or not. It all depends on the "rest" of the training. If you can learn to apply everything you've learnt then it can be adapted to most situations, able bodied or not.
