Affliction “Banned”, press conference 2008 5-22-08 Man, this thing was pretty damn good. The lines weren’t very long and there weren’t a huge amount of people there. More than likely it was due to the fact that the press conference wasn’t really advertised too well (if at all). One of the nice little things about showing up was in them giving away Affliction shirts to the public attendees. Considering how expensive they usually are, this was probably a BIG plus to everyone showing up. A funny note though, there were a bunch of old folks on the line with us to collect free shirts. Bah. After about a 30+min. wait, we were finally escorted two floors up to the balcony area. This wasn’t too good, considering that the conference was on the GROUND FLOOR. So all of our pictures tended to look like ants. But, even still we were cheering away at the likes of Josh Barnett, Fedor, Babalu and the others. It was real cool; all of them in New York like this. Finally everyone headed back to the base floor, waiting to meet the fighters. Obviously, this was the coolest part. I got a **** load of props for this one! Couldn't help but cheese like an idiot for the last second before the shot. LMAO Unfortunately Josh didn't show up for this part. But, can't complain too much...I got to do a face off pic with Fedor!! Good times, good times.
