hey all im still decided on which ma to learn and i will be learning muay thai from a 5 years exp fighter been to many fights and i was searching for more info and in yahoo came up with many videos about muay thai vs tkd ,karate and wing chun there were alright but i notice that muay thai doesnt have that much movments witht eh punch and kicks and he was getting own by this tkd guy he deliver kicks and combination that that guy cant even aviod he keeps getting hit so if u think muay thai is just good let me know. i before thought it cant even compare to othr ma but i was wrong when i was a kid i read alot about this and then i know that they won alot from other ma.

EVERY ma is good, obviously experience plays a huge role in pro fights.

MT can beat TKD, and TKD can beat MT, it just depends on how experienced you are and if you're good enough to apply what you've learnt while in a fight.

Dont let video's of fights make up your mind on what MA you wanna do. The best thing is, go to your local MT gym, or TKD gym, or karate etc etc and have one of those free lessons, see which one you like more and then decide

Also, it depends what you wanna get out of your MA.

If you wanna learn to fight quickly and effectively, MT is your choice
If you wanna learn about the history and traditions of a MA, as well as learning how to fight then do something like Karate, or Kung Fu or TKD

THats a pretty tough art, I think those fighters always do well against the more traditional arts.

There are plenty of opportunities to learnabout the history and tradition of martial arts wihtin Muay Thai.
Many gyms teach a lot of Muay Boran techniques as well as the usual "ring favourites". It's not JUST a sport.

Well said. I`ve seen a TKD fighter taken out a Muay Thai fighter and visa verca (did I get that right).

I don't agree with this. Whether or not you have the experience and skill to apply what you know in a fight depends largely on how you train IMO, i.e. if you train live and spar properly.

This I agree with. Everyone on here is just going to big up their own art.

OMG Infinity please just choose something and stick with it. . .

I think we've been through Dragon kung fu, Snake kung fu, Choy Lay Fut, Ninjutsu, Xing Yi, Tai Chi, Eagle Claw, and now Muay Thai. . . . . . .
