With the new year comes the big house clean in my family. Getting rid of all the garbage you have collected over the year that you dont want to carry over into the new year with you. Anyhow i got a phone call from my mother the other day asking me to drop by.

I guess while i did start in Shotokan while we where in Quebec what i studied in Whitehorse was something else.

Tsuruoka is what i practice for the majority of my time in karate. I guesd Tsuruoka is an offshoot of or based off of chito ryu. Anyways finding the patch made me realize just how much i miss Katas and more specifically the ability to practice form on my own. I think joining a CMA or maybe another karate class (it will have to be a style that really speaks to me) is in my distant future.

A little cheese but i wanted to share

Anyone ever hear of or studie this style?

Of course I know Tsuruoka Sensei, the grand father of canadian Karate.

I study an offshot of Chito-Ryu Karate here in Quebec, and I always like to hear about the masters of old, especially when it has a link to what I'm training in right now :)
