    Hi,
    as a hobby, I write.
I use OpenOffice, it's great, but a behemot that takes a lifetime to open.

Which is a great FREE and LIGHT word processor?
It should have page break, paragraph options (spacing), open and operate with great speed.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.

Strange. I use the Open Office Suite and doesn't take longer than M$ Office in my box.

    Yes, great and free!

    One word:
    Notepad.
Actually scratch that. I wouldn't really go so far as to call it 'great.' But it is free :p

Yep OpenOffice Writer is great, it's stable and fast, once opened. But in my old laptop takes about 30-45 secs to open, and for me it's a bit long every time I want to write.
I discovered that Abiword opens in 4-5 secs, and it has everything I need!
Then, I'll revise the final draft on OpenOffice, but for now (fast typing) Abiword is better! :)

Glad you like it. I think its a neat application.

I was using it when I was working on a project to have a certain application suite running off a USB stick. I decided to put that on there and write the documentation on it too.
