hello, with steampunk on the mind... did anyone here ever watch a television series called "jack of all trades"? while not necessarily "punk" (it was an adventure comedy), the female lead often turned to science in order to help win the day. for some reason, some of that show popped into mind. the television show "warehouse 13" also has strong steampunk undertones to it. anyone here watch it? thanks
On a slightly different tangent - I assume people here read Gibson's newer works (Pattern Recognition and others). How do they compare to the older stuff?
Very different feel, but I rather liked Pattern Recognition. There's still a touch of cyberpunk to them but it's less gritty than the originals, more about social issues, branding and marketing.
