What is it about movie scripts and stuff that people just don't get?
Anything can happen in a movie, that doesn't mean something that happened in a movie is realistic at all, and movies don't prove TMA to be any good.

That fight scene was obviously a real fight scene of Jet proving the superior badassness of his Wushu techniques against the pitiful streetness of those gym rat MAist who have no power in their striking because they don't practice katas, chi and Iron Palm\Fist\Shin\Head\Crotch conditioning.

it's been said that bruce lee was challenged ,in hong kong and through out the world, and there is nobody who claimed to have beaten him. that was in real fighting for life not belts or money i don't know if theviewer of this forum know all there was to know about him but i think ha would have dominated the U.F.C. let me point out again this is just one mans oppinion. bruce was well rounded, stand up and on the ground.

 

And he OWNED on the Nunchukky's.

 

They waited for Bruce to die before they did the first UFC, since if he would have participated then he would have won all the time and it would have been boring.

 

All of which is just hearsay. Lee was an actor that had some good thoughts, some quick hands and a bad ass rep, the man had no verifiable fight record - MMA competitors get in the ring or cage and prove it. It's a very different thing

yeah they get into the ring . if you believe that bruce was an actor with some smooth moves then you need to do a little more reading about his art

 

I've read the Tao of JKD and taken a few lessons in JKD Concepts and Jun Fan JKD. It was interesting and I could see some decent applications to it, but it doesn't mean that Lee would've done diddly in MMA, let alone dominate. I can't think of any Jun Fan stylists that compete in pro MMA, if they do, they're way down the ladder. It doesn't mean the style sucks, it doesn't mean Bruce Lee wasn't any good (though how good he actually was is always going to be debated due to levels of hero worship and lack of actual evidence), it just means that in the MMA environment, saying Lee would dominate is most likely very wrong and leads to madness like "Bruce Lee vs Rickson" threads

 

i respect your oppinion . i train jkd and alot of the skills that ihave developed are not allowed in mma fights. i'm not saying that mma fighters are punks i just believe what i believe i have use jkd , while being jumpe in a bar , and believe me the BOY who did jump me will regret ever having done it.to me mma fighers , not all, but the majority of them are former wrestlers turned fighters.
