      New post on your thread "Best Books on MA and Philosophy/Religion?". First submission tripped spam filter. Finally up, but moderator inserted it into thread on date of original submission, Dec 20/page 2, PRIOR to posts that actually appeared earlier, so you prob'ly didn't get email notice.

      Unfortunately, it's bad news re martial arts philosophizing in traditional China, but the post represents condensed results of my own 15-year quest to answer the same question, though more narrowly focused (historical China only, to WWII). Even with that limitation, in order to finally answer it I had to study traditional Chinese philosophy as a secondary Ph.D. field in grad school.
