It's why I watch Police Interceptors - it's all round my area now so I get to laugh at scrotes I recognise and at the rubbish continuity in the chases
Just finished Stranger Things 2 and wow, what a trip. I think I might have liked it even more than the original season. Where Season 1 cribbed off of the Goonies, Stand by Me, ET, essentially the 'kids on bikes' movies, this film seemed to borrow from Aliens almost continuously. Absolutely loved it.
I'm just passed half way on jessica jones, so far it's really really good, David tennent is an exceptionally good actor, and I think I'm a little in love with JJ.
Indeed but Peter capaldi has also been excellent, heaven sent is one of my favourite episodes of anything ever.
I don't even know the first season of Matt Smith entirely, let alone reached Capaldi That't the problem with expensive DVD, let one BluRay, sets and no netflix...
Today I have been mostly watching gravity falls... It's a cartoon version of Errie Indiana, and is very good! Also child friendly but with an undercurrent of adult entertainment! (that sounds a bit weird, not like that...)
Finished "Stranger Things 2" last night. Wow wow wow wow! I Thought Daredevil set the bar for tv shows. Then I thought Stranger Things 1 set the bar for tv shows. Then I thought Gotham season 3 set the bar for tv shows. No, no, Stranger Things 2 has blown them away. It. Is. Amazing. I've decided that the the two seasons really should be watched together, as a 17-episode single season. *That* would be an amazing binge weekend, and one that I want to add to Halloween traditions from here on.
Finished Stranger Things season 2 recently and looking forward to The Punisher. I've been watching: Queen Sugar, Mindhunter, Insecure, Billions.
Ya, but your post about it being good was made at 6 am my local time, which was 1 pm GMT. You must be a serious Punisher fan!
Got the first 2 episodes of Punisher. The first was outstanding. Absolutely perfect. The 2nd was surprisingly slow, and I'm not sure I like where it's going, with this great big conspiracy, but the cliffhanger ending has potential. I'll keep watching.
I've just watched all of gravity falls, it's a kids cartoon, mixed with x files and eerie Indiana, and set in the same universe as Rick and morty (both writers are friends) Great stuff!
Punisher - accidentally watched all of it in 2 days. Thoughts. Very good. Guts and gore has gone way beyond I think Marvel is usually comfy with. I think it's what my friends have mentioned "The Game of Thrones" effect. Although, with Frank Castle, you sympathise what he has gone through, at the same time you also think "you should be done for war crimes" Kingdom - Just coming to the end of the last season. (3 seasons). I actually enjoy this. A drama, hints of comedy around a MMA based family. Frank Grillo is amazing as usual with the little Jonas Brother shining through I think. Peaky Blinders - Just done season 1 (6 eps). It's ok. The accents are all over the place though.
I got 6 done, slowly. Love it, but I was just saying this afternoon that I want to binge-watch it after I'm done, because I have the distinct feel that Netflix intended this series to be binge-watched. Like, every time the episode ends I have the strong feeling that the director wants me to stay seated and watch the next one, because that's how it was planned and put together and filmed. Anyway, I love it, mostly because of the expressions and jerky body language of Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle). That actor is **perfect** in this role. Nobody, I mean nobody else, could do better in this role. ::applause:: I keep rewinding 10 seconds at a time to watch him roll his eyes again, or look to the corner again as if he expects to see someone with a gun, or wobble in a balanced way!
