No worries Ember, I didn't feel you were railing me about it :) . I've just been on boards before where as soon as herbs were mentioned all it took was one person to make an innocent and honest statement about their potential danger and everyone jumps on the "tar and feather the herb user bandwagon" :D .

    I agree 100%!!

Hey James, sounds like your wife and I are due about the same time (April 30th for me). It's coming up quick!

Thursday 5th 8.30pm Mrs Mitch says, "We'd better check the contraction times"

    9.00pm we head for hospital

    9.30pm we get there.

10.20pm a beautiful baby girl is born, 8lbs, name undecided as yet. Mrs Mitch and her are both well and gorgeous as ever, but you'll have to settle for a pic of baby with my ugly mug for now. She's less than 1/2 hour old here :)

ok I'm officially home!! Woo!! So 1st April I got induced at 4pm. By 11pm I was having severe contractions, I'm talking 6 in 5 minutes!! Went to hosp to find out I took a reaction to the gel and was over contracting. so they tried to control it and it got a little better but was still severe. Come 2nd april afternoon they said though I was having reg contractions I wasn't going in to labour so I needed a c section.

So c section it was!! I lost over a litre of blood. Anyway, come wednesday I start getting severe pains in my stomach and was moved to the high dependency unit. They said I had (excuse spelling) paralitic illius which as far as I understand means they paralysed my bowels during op. So I couldn't move and was in agony!! While in HDU I got an infection in my womb and they found bowel loops so was put on even more drugs!!

Slowly getting better but still in a lot of pain!!

Oh and the reason I never went in to labour is cos' my little one was a whooping 9lb 2oz and 53 cm. I'm only 5ft!!

She's perfectly healthy and absolutely beautiful!![IMG]

LOL, oh Gem, you poor gal!

Yeah, I've got less than 2wks to go now and hoping it'll be sooner rather than later. I can't complain though...it's going really well and outside of the sciatica I'm feeling good.

My best friend just had a baby 2wks ago (baby had some troubles though and has been in the NICU...they came home yesterday). I went over to drop their dog off since I was dog-sitting; holding her baby made me really anxious!! I'm looking forward to being beyond all of this and holding my own little one :) .

Baby isn't in the greatest position at this point (posterior: baby's back is towards my back...optimally the face should be towards the back). My last two were posterior and it makes the labor much harder and more difficult. If nothing else, at least know what to expect. In the meantime I'm trying everything I know to do to encourage baby to turn.

    I have a midwife appt tomorrow...hopefully my last one :) .

My son has the state TKD tournament this weekend and I'm really bummed that I can't go (it's almost 3hrs away...can't risk it this close to my due date). He's upset I can't go too but not enough to keep him home :p.

Well, I'll let you all know when baby arrives and post some pics. Shouldn't be too long!

    Kelly
