Guess, it can be a good thing, if we finally decide to wipe out humanity.
    Otherwise - No.

Unfortunately nuclear bombs don't just wipe out humans, they wipe out everything, and make them unable to support any life for a long time.

    True enough, unfortunateley.

I just hope, it won't come to it; nothing else I can actually do anyway.

I think it's unbelievable, that someone even considers using nukes.
And scary; let's not forget scary.

It feels like a game of chicken between some overly emotional toddlers, except with nukes.

    Terrifying.

I'm still struggling to accept that there is one idiot in charge, never mind two. Also terrifying meeting people and realising for all their education they are all as smart as you are and have about he same common sense as you. I want the person in charge to be waaaaay smarter than me in all aspects of their lives.

I'm still kind of looking at people and asking myself "Now? Now do you see how this was a friggin' terrible idea?"

I don't think there's anything to worry about...we live in a globalized world now and any kind of harm to USA/EU/UK means China/Russia etc. will hurt just as much! China are not daft....they're watching NK like a hawk.....China/Russia want to live and prosper too. I bet there's like a thousand Chinese spies in NK. Even USA/UK are not going to do anything daft...USA is an incredible country with some incredibly intelligent people...do you think they'll let anything daft like a nuclear war happen? I'm not talking about Trump - there will be those around him who will ensure he doesn't go on an ego trip and start playing with the red button. The real threat is terrorism!

The US has set up a power structure such that the President has unilateral control over the use of nuclear weapons. For a further discussion, check here: Perspective | No one can stop President Trump from using nuclear weapons. That’s by design.

There's really very little that those around him can do to stop him from using nuclear weapons should he decide to.

With regard to terrorism, that has long been the Reichstag fire for modern authoritarian creep. We've been happy as a society to say that the lives lost to gun violence represent the human sacrifice towards the second amendment; it's strange that the debate on civil liberties has not reached a similar conclusion.

    Re nuclear weapon safety

There's some horrendous fact checked stories out there about how safe the USA nuclear weapons systems aren't.

I'm currently, Reading this book and it's very enlightening about the lack of safety culture from the very beginning of the nuclear race.

This strongly reminds me of similar sentiments expressed in 1914!

    (And the 1930s.)

The daftness happened. And it always can.Thankfully we had The Great War, The War to End All Wars back then and so don't have to concern ourselves,as people are just so much smarter now than then.

    Riiiiiight.

P.S.-We almost roasted things in 1962.No less daft then than now.
