You're the boss... ...An amateur dramatic society from a neighbouring town is doing an adaption of 'Aladdin' in the new year, in which one of the characters (Princess Jasmine's bodyguard) has to display some martial knowledge, and I was contacted, to coach the actress in question on her movements, and even put together a fight scene - So there! Travess
You people make me double post I mentioned it in my log already, but because I enjoyed the day, I will do it here again: Aside from a panic attack, that wasn't that great and something I could have lived without, I had a nice day today: JJJ seminar, with a detail loving instructor who was also very nice and, as far as I can tell, competent. I met some of the techniques a few years ago already, and it was an interesting experience to get to do them again, with a little gained knowledge. Also: I went there, because one of my (sadly) former teachers hosted it. And because I wanted to attend, of course. But that was a great bonus. I got to talk to him again, which was just awesome, and also learned how he is doing (unfortunately a injured knee). I thoroughly enjoyed both and am very glad, that I managed to get there - despite the not so good start with the panic...
Alright then, when no one else wants to use this thread, I will. Because I need the urge to share my dumbness! I created a FB-account yesterday. I think to get an overview how things work and the such, are more challenging than expected. So there! I'm dumber than ten year olds.
Until some hours ago I thought I was dying. Slow, painful death. And every time my Mom told me to stop whining I made sure she would remember how she said that, when being on the funeral. All these mean words, while I was dying of my fever and headache God, I hate being sick. I'm also really not good at it. At all. It is also official now: Both of my cats, but especially my tomcat has (have) better bedside manners than I will ever have. He only left me when he needed to use the litter box. Otherwise he would lay right beside me. He would stalk my every step (I do admit, I blame him being hungry for that). As soon as sat up, he jumped up as well, paws on my shoulder and started grooming me; my hair, my ear, behind my ear. I also thought he might have tried to kill me once, when he started walking over my stomach, but as soon as I made clear half a dozen times, that it wouldn't be a good idea, he settled to lying down on my neck. So there! I have near perfect nursing service. That... or an assassin in training. Ps.: I'm glad anyway, that medication kicked it and I seem to be rid of the fever. Might live a while longer after all.
My tortoise Oswald just did a large pooh and then peed all over the kitchen floor ! This is a good thing. The digestive system and kidneys are the last things to get working after hibernation. For the more than 100 th year Oswald has made it safely thought the winter and is now ready and rearing to go for the year ahead.
Hope your feeling better! And your cat, like ours, was just waiting to see if you were weak enough to be eaten
That would actually explain *a lot*! Fever came back midday yesterday, so my theory is, that he spiked my drinks with something to weaken me again! I guess now it's my medication versus him. Creepy. I might be in danger.
See that's why I'm The Bulldog and not the Bullcat. I'll attack the bad guys, then snuggle up by the fire at the end of the day rather than plotting your demise.
Tonight was my fourth training anniversary, so there! My first class at my current Dojo was on the 1st of March, 2014. I'm still loving it after four years.
My phone service provider has refunded me £10. Because of some scam company (UME) hacks into accounts somehow and takes £4.50 a week from your bill. Please everyone check your mobile phone bills...usually its under "Other - charities and premium rates"
Got my front splits back on both sides. Couple inches to go on my side split 'til I'm as flat as roadkill again. Takes a solid warm-up and about 30-40 minutes of stretching, but I'm nearly back to form. So there.
Weatherman said we were getting 1 to 3 inches of snow.... but we got 12 inches...so there....oh wait...... nevermind
I plant trees while I surf the internet ! if you use link removed It plants an average of 1 tree every 45 searches!! Savin the planet one click at a time !
So sorry, Tom, but that site gets revenue for each search, as it generates adverts. As such MAP can't be used to promote it. Sounds like a great idea though.
Sorry for the rules breach - I thought the restriction was on links to commercial websites for self promotion / personal Benefit. Neither being the case in this instance. Would it be within the map rules to point out that their is an "ecological" search engine that plants trees and that is fairly easily found if searched for ?
