i searched the internet many times and read about many sword styles untill i came to this conclusion that many of japanese sword school has a root in 2 famous sword school date back to 700 years ago
1: nen ryu which was founded by jion a budist periest these school are includ itto ryu _ yagyu shinkage ryu_ jikishinkage ryu_ taisha ryu _ maniwa nen ryu_ hyoho niten ichi ryu ...
2: katori shinto ryu which was the base for founding or influenced these schools jigen ryu _ bokuden ryu_ kashima shinto ryu_ tenen rishin ryu throgh its influences of kashima shinto ryu
so can we say these 2 schools were the base for many famaous sword styles? like the jujutsu styles which has influences of 3 jujutsu style sword shcool also were affected of these 2 does anyone know of anyother sword school which was very effective in history like these?

It's not really about anyone being against it at this point, we're just wondering what led you to this conclusion.

I was wondering what information you had looked at that's all.

Take Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu for example what have you read that links that to the other schools?

It's better in this forum to list the sources used even if they are web pages you have visited.

aw yes i was missunderstood well my source is mostly wikipedia and some other sites about hyoho niten ichi ryu i once read that the grandfather of musashi was a student of one of 12 students of jion who thouht him jutte which inherited among his familly to musashi about kashima shinto ryu i am not sure but just once in a website it mentioned that he tsukahara bokuden founded kashima shinto ryu based on katori shinto ryu also you can see both are shinto ryu but another site( i think wikipedia ) mentioned that there was a martial art in his familly that he learnt frome his father and founded it as a ryu i will try to find the pages and put a link here

Whilst Yoshin-ryu was one of the arts studied by Kano (and from which many other ryu-ha have evolved), it is not one of the so called "big four" according to Watatani Kiyoshi.

As well as Kito-ryu and Takenouchi-ryu he mentions Sekiguchi-ryu and Seigo-ryu as being of most influence in Japanese jujutsu.

about sekiguichi ryu i dont know but about seigo ryu i think it is mostlly a batto jutsu school which is related to yagyu shinkage ryu , yoshin ryu was very active during history and it had many branches that non of them remained, before judo , yoshin ryu was thought to tokyo metropolitan police this can show it was a very famous school which was used by governers one reasone that a school influence many other schools is that it achieve a fame that many persones try to train at it diffrent investigators have diffrent opinion i found this on wikipedia there it said these 3 were most influent schools for example tenjin shinyo ryu once had 5000 students , had been influenced itself by yoshin ryu this can show it affected directly or indirectly many schools

coming back to the point of discusion

ok i was going to another way but now i came back here are those links that i used to write this thread one is about the root of shinkage ryu which is of katori shinto ryu nen ryu and kage ryu but kage ryu is more important here so i should ad kage ryu to my list
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinkage-ryū
and here is a geneology of itto ryu and some other schools its root is chujo ryu which has a root in nen ryu
    http://wiki.samurai-archives.com/index.php?title=File:Chujo2.jpg
about niten ichi ryu i couldnt find the link i read it has a root on nen ryu as much as i searched :bang: so for now i take it out of that list but i will search more , but i remmember i once read one of jion students thought jutte to musashi"s grandfather, anyway these were my sources

I think you will find the KSR has no connection whatsoever to HNIR save that of intense dislike. When Musashi wrote of avoiding displays of arrogance with ryu that were supposedly "Descended from the gods". Its KSR that he was refferring to.

P.S. You are not going to find anything on wikipedia anyway. It's a nice concept but the fact of the matter is "anybody" can edit it. I put up relevant information that I have learned directly from Japan and some "internet expert' will take it down and edit it!
