I thought you were referencing our very own Zombiekiller, fresh back from his 1st ban ;)

Today I had 2 large poached eggs (from local butchers) on two roughly cut slices of wholemeal bread (from local bakers) and lemon&ginger tea. Very nice it was too

I've been doing poached eggs a lot for the kids and myself recently, fantastic! Seems to help my eldest having a big protein hit at the start of the day. I have to admit to using an egg poaching pan with the little cup thingies which makes it so much easier. Mrs Mitch is a big fan of Lemon and Ginger tea, has to be coffee for me though :)

I need my coffee later in the afternoon, just before home time, as a kind of a pre-workout.:weightlifter:

I eat 3 weetabix and a chopped banana with semi-skimmed milk pretty much every single morning. Seems to be the lowest calorie but most filling combo for me.

I would have had porridge, but all my saucepans are queueing up to be washed.

So I had five weetabix-type thingies instead. I'll probably have to have some elevenses to see me through to dinnertime.

Does anyone else find that if they do more excercise than their regular routine, that their appetite then goes ballistic?

You sir are a beast. I'm not sure I could eat that much weetabix...

    Yup. Ridiculously badly.

This morning I hate fruity granola. It was awful. If it wasn't for the fact my kids will eat it, I would throw it away.

There's nothing to them. But doing a proper day's work on a small breakfast is a recipe for, well, hungriness basically. And extreme tiredness. Plus pigging out in the evening.

better to load up first thing.

Glad it's not just me then! I did a twelve mile hike on Saturday, and another one on Sunday - a lot shorter, but very hilly. Since then my appetite has been in overdrve, and it isn't exactly small to start with.

Couldn't you eat something else while you watch them eat the nasty stuff? Like bacon sarnies?

True to Hobbit form, I have breakfast and second breakfast.

Breakfast is a strong cup of tea with a touch of milk and a coffee (often flavoured coffee - chocolate truffle FTW) protein shake.

When I get to work I have second breakfast which is a cup of black tea and either an egg with cheese (and occasionally bacon) or a fruit, Greek yoghurt, quark cheese and scattering of muesli combination. Today it was the egg, cheese and bacon combination.

I have breakfast at work during the week, just eating it now while running some reports. Muesli with added coconut and sultanas, banana whey protein and skimmed milk; and a cup of strawberry tea.

Well if we're counting a drink as a breakfast then I have two too. I always start the day with a mug of tea. I can't stomach food until I've been up for at least an hour.

So if I have another cuppa mid-morning then have I had three breakfasts? Your hobbitty ways are confusing me.

Hobbity ways are meant to confuse folk. I struggle with solid food first thing too - hence the protein shake.

True, but if I ate that much in one go in the morning I would pass out 'til mid afternoon. I actually seem to do better with smaller breakfasts, where as if I have a big breakfast I tend to have a HUGE dinner later.

And weetabix leave me feeling a little bloated. Where as Oatibix fill me up even more :dunno:

I can't normally eat solid food for the first two hours of the day though. It just feels wrong.

Sounds about right. I once went to a 4 hr Aikido seminar with no breakfast or lunch and almost nothing to drink when I was severely overweight. I lost half a stone in those four hours and my appetite for days went haywire. I'm guessing that you end up kicking your metabolism into overdrive and the body freaks out by demanding food or something.

What kind of monster are you?! :p

Bacon sarnies are for dinner. With two eggs, mushrooms, tomato, less bread and some beans. And a cup of tea :D

That sounds amazing...wait, back up. Strawberry tea?

If we're counting drinks and stuff, then I can't function without one cup of lemon squash and a mug of tea - plus my cod liver oil tablet first thing. Gonna switch back to porridge and banana/different granola/muesli with extra nuttiness. Good times.

I'd be surprised if you don't suffer from constipation eating that many eggs!

Haha nope, I'm super regular. I just get waves of depression when I sit down and look at the plate, it's a miserable experience lol.

    Have you tried adding Parmesan?

Or a bit of spinach an maybe nutmeg?

    Variety and all that :)

I absolutely can't stand cheese Mitch, I generally play with different spices, my favourite of the moment is adding a glue of nados garlic piripiri and some franks red hot :)
