    Hi there I'm new to the forum.. this post is really interesting! i wanted to ask how many time per week do you usually training?

    Often, three-to-four intensively. Kata, revision, etc every second day or so.

    IS it just me or does the weight distribution in both mount and side control appear to be too far forward with both not enough weight carried by the opponent and the hips too high? Looks like he's asking to get rolled, upa-ed (is that even a word??) and generally escaped from...

    feet, knees and hips are all sub optimal

    A key thing to remember when you are in side control, keep one knee attached to your opponent. It makes controlling them much easier.

    Or your hip, or your hand. There are multiple variations to side control and it is a fluid position after all :)
