I've installed a new tag on MAP for hiding spoilers in your posts.

When replying or making a new thread, you should see a button marked "S" (for Spoiler). Press that, and enter what the spolier is about. The next box is for the actual spolier information.

When you submit the post, press the small arrow to expand the spoiler and see the info contained.

Please use this when posting information that contains fight spoliers.

Just a little update for this regarding fight results. If you're posting results in a new thread, please be aware of air dates worldwide/ the fact that people have lives and may not have gotten around to watching the fights yet:

    1) Please don't put results in thread titles

    2) Please DO NOT put results in thread titles!

    3) Make sure the thread title prominently features either the word Spoilers or Results so people know not to click it if they don't want to know the results

    4) If you're posting results in a discussion thread (ie, a thread that's been running before the event) always use spoiler tags - anyone subscribed to the thread will get your post emailed to them

If you have any questions as to how this tool works/ when to use it etc, don't hesitate to PM me

    Thanks :)

Just to back up Sever here, I won't have any hestitation in temp banning someone if they repeatedly break this rule. If you can't get the tags working, just PM one of us and we'll help.

Spoilers ruin the enjoyment of fights for everyone else. Don't be that person..

    NOTE!!!!

The old "expand" tags have been removed as the system didn't appear to be compatible with the current version of vBulletin. A new system was added with the site upgrade so please use that instead.

To use the new system, simply use "spoiler" tags eg:

    Flashy, eh?

    Flashy, eh?

    Cheers,
    Anth.

After consulting with other moderators, the general agreement was that spoiler tags are to be used for 24 hours after an event has taken place. So if you want to avoid posting spoiler tags on an event that took place at 8pm on Saturday, don't post anything about it that could indicate what the results were until 8pm on Sunday.

Quick reminder to you all folks.

People are getting a bit peeved that their viewing is being spoiled by people posting the result of a fight or what happens in a show before it is aired in their country or they get a chance to watch it.

You wouldn't want it to happen to you so please use the spoiler tags or put Spoiler! (or similar) in the thread title.

Please don't make us delete posts for something this minor.

    Cheers,
    Anth.
