    God! Why??

I can't think of anything about it that isn't inferior.

That was unexpectedly fast: I ordered the LoBloo two days ago late at night via eBay (apparently delivered from Stockholm) and it arrived today already in an amazon packaging :D

Anyway, the important part is: It has arrived.
Important things first: The color still isn't nice but at least not as bad as it seems ;)

In all seriousness I can't say too much yet, obviously.
I looked up a video on how to tie the cords and since it seems to hold I guess I did it right.
The description which with it's delivered is fine for the thinner cord but the for the bigger one it's rather useless.
But on the other side I also admit that it isn't rocket science either; I was glad to use the video but id I look at it now... let's say, the video makes it easier and it doesn't hurt using it.

I was curious enough to put it on and do some steps in it and some movements, and I have to admit that you probably will nearly forget about it, when wearing during training.
I'm sitting at the couch right now and only notice it, because I know it's there and pay attention on how it feels.

How it does its job and if I will have the same tearing in the groin while doing Ukemi will show the time and usage during actually training.
    That much goes for itself.
Going from the first impression I'm rather optimistic though.
Also from hitting a few times against it; I mean I didn't punch myself too bad there but all that arrived was a little pressure - so I can imagine, it will do it's job really well.

EDIT: When I stood up again I noticed, that I actually feel the straps more than the cup itself.
Because I'm not used to it I'm sure; so another point for the LoBloo.
    For me anyway.

    Just a quick update:
I did wear the lobloo groin guard several times now during the training sessions and I'm pretty happy with it.
It's absolutely not noticeable when doing whatever movement, it's not hindering at all and -what's it important for me, since I had this problem with the other one- I have no pain whatsoever when doing Ukemi.

I didn't get hit much between the legs, so I can't say too much about that so far.
but I did get a ball in there today and it was hardly being noticed. Now, it wasn't kicked hard, but the way the power got diverted was a good start.
I won't jump ip and down yelling "kick me" though, just to check it out ;)

That last post was some serious spam on top of a 3 year old thread.

Anyway, I read about Latikos' issue and wanted to point out that there are other things than pulled muscle to worry about, for which no groin guard or comp shorts will offer protection or relief.

For instance herniation is a big problem for athletes. Usually comp shorts help keep things in place to avoid strain and hernia but...what often happens is you can injure yourself when not wearing protection and then you put all your gear on, spar..ouch. Or if you're like me, injure yourself after. I can't remember how many times I'd train, be fine, come home, lift something heavy, and suddenly feel pain.

So like any long term pain like that especially if it seems to recur, I'd get checked out to make sure it's not something more serious. Inguinal hernia (ie groin hernia) can get pretty serious and require surgery, and definitely presents as generalized groin pain.
