Almost a week and no one started this one yet? I grew up listening to the original Eagles hits. I remember being so stoked to get the first Greatest hits Album( yes Album) for Christmas when I was about 10. Kinda grew a litte tired of them around Hotel California, but never stopped being a fan. I also liked Frey's solo stuff in the 80's, and always got a kick out of seeing him on Miami Vice. Weiland, Bowie, Frey, Damn I'm getting old.

There may not be many here who remember the Eagles that well. They were on top of the game for a while. I'm not really sure if newer generations will have the same fondness for them as their original fans.

I remember the Eagles well. I just wasn't a fan and I thought a true fan should start a thread like this. I respect their skills as musicians though. Some bands/ musicians you hate and think aren't good, other times, it just isn't your thing. I don't like much country rock. Exception being Creedence Clearwater Revival.

I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I was a little shocked to see his cause of death basically being complications from medicine for arthritis. I had no idea that arthritis or treating it could be deadly.

This year has had a real bad start with losing musicians and actors.
