R.I.P. Adam West

    Passed away today, at the age of 88 years young.

    For me he was a childhood 'friend', that came in to my parents living room and entertained me every Saturday morning, and as an adult he was someone who found a way in to my heart, whenever I saw him on screen.

    I heard about it after the Meet when Mushroom mentioned it.

    A shame, really.
    When I was little a friend of mine and me would watch the old Batman-show together, when it ran on TV.

    Yep, he was my introduction to Batman. When I was 5 years old I was a *huge* Batman fan -- as in the tv show in which he starred. For all it's absurdity and silliness, *he* was Batman to me and that tv show is why superheros mattered to me. Still to this day Batman is my favorite comic book character. Still.

    Saw Batman first time aorund in 1966 when I was 5...we LOVED playing Batman in the school playground.
