So obviously the term "old" is relative. I am a rock guy and for a few years graduated to classical and others.(i became insufferable) But, i remember with great pleasure the days when i was introduced to hip hop. The first albums i bought were 2 pac greatest hits and dr dree. I knew nothing of them but the fact that everyone in the hood wanted to trick me, talk me, befriend me, etc in to giving them MY 2 Pac greatest hits duble CD, i knew it was worth something. With all the classical music and rock, from time to time, i will go back to some of the old hip hop songs. Non MAP friendly video removed. A little before my time as a fan of hip hop, but a major influence to my hood. Years later i would check him out and, not bad, not bad at all

People, just a small thing. Please write a little story if not about what made you listen to hip hop, then at least about what you like about the song. Don't just post a link and run

Rhythmically speaking, this is probably the best recent hip-hop I've heard. If anyone's heard better, I'd love to hear it (Don't listen if you dislike naughty words) Video removed. Explicit lyrics.
I liked Cypress Hill's first album or two, as a young teen who would like anything about bongs and gats, but Fugees were just exploitation pop as far as I could make out.
