That's odd. Thanks for flagging that. I think that should be fixed again now. I have fixed it so that the Google results no longer 404 and redirect to the right place, but it would be good if someone else could double check that actually works.
Thanks! We've added SSL to the site as well to improve security. There are some mixed content warnings kicking around but that's mostly from people's signature images.
Ok, so, /forums is broken again for now, it will give a 403 error, but at least I know about it. This is because I need to tweak the webserver rewrite rules, currently I seem to be only able to have one set at a time on the go.
Thank you Thomas. We are really pleased. We (particularly Saz) is still working day and night to iron out some glitches, but it's mostly stuff behind the scenes. Some of the things this new software does is definitely going to help us going forward.
You may have noticed that the MOD team now just show as "Moderator", rather than topic or global mod. This is because everyone has now been given Global MOD status. It seemed daft to Mitch and myself that we had moderators online that couldn't clean up and look after the site until a Global MOD logged on. Other than Admin rights they now all have full access including the ban hammer. Mitch and myself are the Admin along with Saz who is the tech guru. Aegis has also been kept as site Admin. One because he deserves it for keeping MAP running for the past decade and also because he is also a major contributor to the technical side of the site. Hopefully everyone else has got their head around the new software. We are still making tweaks here and there.
