You must have a wrong dictionary :p No, mine said pancakes, I guess as long as it is an approximate description of what it actually is...

Yep, you German people love to link words. :) The only thing that surprises me that there's no mention of potatoes in that word! We basically just call it potato... thing :D Another, older Czech name is "cmunda". My grandma for example calls it that, but not all Czech people actually know that name.

Oh, I thought it was food that they had brought, my bad :p. But now the next time they pop by you MUST make them bring and/or make food :p

No, that wasn't the case unfortunately. Thanks for the tips, though, once I meet an Argentinian again... :D

    Tuesday 7.2.17:

When I drove to the dojo, I decided to park in the last spot right in front of it. As a typical woman, I totally hate parking in a parallel line (the reason being, of course, that I'm totally helpless :D), but today, I somehow, no idea how, fit in, but managed to put the wheels completely touching the kerb, so I couldn't turn them any way in the slightest. I managed to go further form the car, but was sure that if the car in front of me doesn't dissapear until the end of the training, I'll go ask the only guy in today's training to somehow get my car out, else I'm stuck there :D
    ..it disappeared, though ^^

Then I was almost late, so I went quickly to the corridor, which was dark, so I switched the lights on only to earn three murderous stares from the women curled up on the sofa trying to get a short nap before training, apparently. When I went back from the changing room, I saw them badmouthing me to sensei, accusing me of being too energetic (which definitely was not the case on top of it!) :D ...that's how things generally go nowadays :D

    18:30-20:00 - Advanced class:
    - make threes and do pendulum (throwing one person in the middle as a pendulum. Our group had me, the man and a black belt maybe 20 kg lighter than me, so it was fun and she got to almost fly a bit :D
    - In the same groups practise knee strikes
    - In pairs - untie each other's belt - I lost both rounds :( But the second one barely and my partner stood up before getting my belt, which was sort of forbidden). She won rightfully, though, but I was just about half a second slower :D
    - stretching
    - Make the groups of three again - our group of us brown belts and a black belt again and practise all your bunkai - each once for each side. We did bunkai up to Seiyznchin, black belt had to add Shisochin and Sanseru, so it took us a while, I think the other group, doing Saifa at most, managed three rounds in the same time XD Somehow it felt like I didn't do all the bunkai for a while, as I felt a bit rusty, so I appreciated it.
    - Final belly work-out

Again a bit unruly and laughter-filled training :)

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention that both yesterday and today, I was actually able to perform the whole 7th bunkai of Seiyunchin kata with the heavier guy (who's heavier than me)! I was never able to "gently"/slowly - in practise - put him down on the floor holding his leg and the other arm. And I did it without actually dropping him down like always! :) I'm really happy about it ^^

    Wednesday 8.2.17:

    8:00-9:00 - CrossFit:
My third class from the On Ramp course.
Today as promised, after a 6 min warm-up on the rowing machine and stretching, I was taught the exercises with a barbell.
Starting with a plastic pole to explain basics, later moving to the smaller - women's 15 kg bar. Instructor thought it either too easy of just wanted me to try the weights so I added the 5 kg ones, practising all the exericses with 25 kg then. Which is about the weight of kongoken I am used to. I did work out some sweat, but wasn't completely uncomfortable lifting it, so I guess the weight was alright. Still can't imagine, how the instructor ofr example can lift 90 kg (I asked out of curiosity) :) Long way to go for me!
I was taught and practised deadlift, clean and jerk, thruster, front squat and back squat. She probably thought I am not too bad (though I am not sure if I shared those feelings :D) and asked again if I really never worked with a barbell. I said the only thing I am sort of used to lifting is kongoken, where we push it from shoulders up while banding legs and going down. When she heard that she taught me a similar exercise with the barbell, too. There was the "down" word, but otherwise I forgot the name. It is something that is usually not taught in the beginning course, but since I can do it with the kongoken... I shoudl say, though, I had to think for a while how to go about it with the barbell, as it is held somewhat differently, after all.

Also I found a fun problem. At the beginning, I was repeatedly reminded to keep the barbell close to my body when pulling it up. I was wondering how girls usually do it, as it was not very comfortable. Instructor noticed that I don't have a body of a lifter with a flat chest and spoke about how professional weightlifters with a bigger chest tie it with some plastic or what :D Not gonna happen! Though I caught myself deliberately lifting the barbell further from my body over the chest. I suppose I will have to find another way when moving to the heavier weights as it won't be too easy to change the trajectory... :/ Girls, how do you do it?

I also soon noticed that I can feel my wrists. Which is supposedly normal as they get into not too natural positions when lifting something heavy.

I was again given a final work-out. This time for five minutes without breaks, repeating:
    - 3x clean and jerk with the 25 kg barbell
    - burpee and jump over barbell 4x
    - 1 round running around the gym

It didn't feel too bad in the first round, but as usual, the second round running wasn't as easy. I did 3 and half rounds. Tired, but not as spent as last time :D

The instructor has a nice big and friendly dog with his place in the gym. Today he was particularly frindly, not letting go of his ball and when I wasn't paying attention, his head suddenly appeared between my legs, basically supporting me as he was rather big. Whe I tried to go backward to move out of him, he even went backwards with me XD When squatting down, I often found myself being stared at face to face from a close proximity :D What a cutie

    Thursday 9.2.17:

    19:00-21:00 - Beginner class:

    - At the beginning sensei asked if anyone is injured/has some health trouble today. I just quickl pointed I'd still prefer to not be hit in the teeth (It's been three weeks and they are so much better, but still slightly hurt and I could do without hitting them again ^^).
    - We were told to make pairs, hold each other's shoulder's and try to step on each other's feet. After maybe half a minute, me and my partner hit heads as we were looking down, resulting in our jaws getting shut and clicking teeth. Thank goodness they only hurt a little, but even my partner didn't feel comfortable, so we didn't really continue teh round. Sensei could only facepalm when she saw us :D After we did two more rounds with always ten or so exercises in between and some more partner work-out at the end.
    - Than one round of getting partner from lying on the belly on their back. I got a heavier partner and she was well able to resist my usual strategy, though at one point i almost got her  She won and so I told myself to work especially hard to at least not let her turn me :)
    - Circuit training: (in pairs)
    1. pads - 20 mawashi geri for each side, 10 free, 10 full power. I got a partner in a boy who came to me. He's fifteen at most, but he's huuuge. He can be arrogant or lazy at times. When he was about to kick full power with his stronger leg, he asked me whether I don't want to go to the wall to be able to withstand his blow (he's 20, maybe 30 kg heavier). Well, the only one loosing balance after the kick was him, so he didn't comment anymore. After all, mawashi isn't a pushing kick that would generally push a person back, at least not too much. I was still very pleasantly surprised, becasue his kicks were really strong. Much more than I expected. I sort of also expected him to be lazy and take it easy. I praised him for his kicks later and we discussed some problems. Really a great surprise, though :)
    2. Chi-ishi - I got one of the usual weight that I use, but with a longer stick. I would feel bad if I didn't try to hold it almost at the end, so I did´, but was worried I'd drop in an the planking people nearby or knock my teeth. Somehow I surprisingly managed 10 of my usual combinations for both arms :)
    3. Plank - for as long and the pair with pads kicks. At that time there was a girl form the faculty - a beginner, so she had to have the kick explained and tried rather slowly. I didn't feel like I could endure for long today, so after the first person was done, I got a few breaks, for a couple of seconds or so, at least.
    4. Jumping on and down on a heavy bag on the floor. Not too high, but if I do hate something....
    5. Reverse plank with hands on a havy bag + some occasional tricep dips

    Sanchin kata:
    - With low effort
    - Exercise in pairs when the partner pull your ankles back with a constant pressure
    - One more Sanchin - around 50% effort
    - In groups of three one person does Sanchin - full effort, the second always checks the tightness of tanden as sensei shortly tried with us before, third person give shime testing. I was closest to the two beginners - the guest from the faculty and not-so-much of a beginner, but someone, who doesn't know much about Sanchin, so after I did my kata, I explained the steps to both of my partners, some of the principles to the beginner and only checked them lightly, just trying to correct their posture a bit, also at times doing the moves alongside them as they didn't remember. By the time we finished, everyone was long sitting down and chatting, but I hope I did help them at least a bit... I am not too confident there. Also when sensei came over, she told me I am raising my shoulders while breathing - meaning I breath into the chest - which is bad. I focused on many things and was a bit out of breath and I messed the most important part. I should practise :/ Like really, I am angry with myself now :D

I am also quite tired these days, sice Saturday, I wasn't able to catch up with sleep and I probably wasn't able to sleep more than six hours any day (some people can do this long term, but I certainly don't think I am one of those). So... good night, everyone :)

This, when done correctly, is something that my instructor refer to as the 'Goju Belly' as all the noticeable movement should be in the abdomen/diaphragm (tanden) area - He also likes to point out, that guys like me, who have enjoyed too many beers over the years, find it easier to make this abdominal expansion more apparent, than those with more chiseled physiques do...

I'm definitely with you on this one - As a long time nightshift worker, it never fails to amaze me just how little sleep everyone else appears to be surviving on, claiming they feel they'd be 'wasting their day' if they slept any longer. Sure, If I slept less I'd have more time to myself, but given how irritable I get when I am tired, that would just mean more time plotting the demise of everyone around me!

Yes, indeed. Shoulder movement is something that shouldn't happen. That's why I am angry with myself...
    Hehe, it's good that I don't drink beer! :D
But, maybe.... there's some truth to what your instructor says. From what I have seen in the more experienced people, the bigger belly really might make the movement more apparent

Wow, I still don't understand how people can work night shifts :D
It does indeed fell like wasting time, sometimes, but... just as you said. I think at highschool I also usually slept 6-7 hours for some period in time. If I have the opportunity, though, 9 hours it is! :D Also going to trainings often makes one even more in need of more sleep :)

...I will be sure to avoid you if I ever see you with circles under your eyes :D

    Saturday 11.2.17:

    19:00-21:00 - Ground Fighting training:

Till last June, we had a guy in our dojo, who did karate for some time, but never actually changed his style from Muay Thai. He used to do BJJ as well and did some cage fights. Some months later, he gave up on karate, as he hated forms and such and picked up some combination of BJJ, Judo and Jiu Jitsu, I think. I couldn't find much time before, but we long tried to agree when ad where we'll "beat each other up" :)

Today was the day. Him, my karate friend and I went to the dojo and the BJJ friend taught us some take downs and some techniques on the ground. I realised I am afraid to actually try and throw people, so I always stap the throw at the last moment, especially with the bigger guy. The BJJ friend is 10 kg smaller than me and it was much better to try with him. We were taught the Tai Otoshi throw (I think), proper O soto Gari and one more, not very different from the Tai Otoshi. And another, fairly easy, that will help me next time we have to take the other person down in karate class, I'm sure (partner grabs my neck with his arm from the side, I bend one leg, stretch the one closer to him out and go down -> he falls). Nice and easy :)

Than we proceeded with the ground techniques.
I surprisingly remembered how to do the crucifix he taught me some time ago.
We also tried triangle with both arms and legs, two types of chokes using gi/shirt, two techniques involving ankle, and some more. Also a not very intuitive way to get an armbar which seemed to work as long as it wasn't done on me. I am not sure, but I just didn't feel like my body should turn and instead my arm usually slipped the partner. Karate friedn couldn't get it right, BJJ friend wanted to show him, ended up the same and went to something else telling me: "You're a crappy uke" :) ...in a slightly harsher way :D But there was one other technique I couldn't done on our "teacher" and an ankle lock that simply didn't work on the other friend (at least when I tried), but we never seemed to find the reason.

Towards the end, the BJJ friend wanted us to finish with some sparring. I didn't feel like it, my teeth almost don't hurt, but I am scared to accidentaly hit them again. I was assured there's no way they would touch my teeth, although I could easily imagine how some limbs got uncomfortably close during the practise time. I tried, though. First friend hit me (tiny bit, but I tapped immediately, getting surprised. Still assured nothing can happen to me. Second friend touched my teeth during the second round and I appologized, I am not doing anymore. Not that it really hurt, but any stronger and I might have a broblem. It may be some rule that when you are worried about some place, you just have to get hit there. I sparred much less than the two of them and didn't go full power at it, but still was the only one ending up with a small tear on a lip...

The training was nice, though, I got to try some new stuff or refresh somehting I was already shown before. Nice and useful things, I just with I didn't have to worry about the teeth...

    Saturday 12.2.17:

We agreed to have a kobudo class in the morning. I didn't want to get up, but promised to pick a friend up and drive together to the dojo. I was late, in the car I realised I left my glasses at home, returned back, back in the car and realised I forgot a snack, that I wouls most certainly need. I picked the friend almost 10 mins later, but since she waited near a store, she bought me a snack for always driving her. It was so much appreciated today! :)

    9:30 - 11:15 - Kobudo:

Before sensei arrived straight from his night shift, we repeated and tried to teach a friend the bo kata.
After sensei came, he wanted to see it again. We moved on to kata bunkai - in line - renzoku kumite. I don't want to sound mean, but I was paired with the friedn who didn't know kata for the whole class and she takes a bit long to learn new things. So most of the class we spent with this bunkai, not even having time to change sides. Sensei with the other friend managed to go through several other things in the meantime. I was a bit dissapointed there, but I don't want to make it sound I am holding it against the friend - it was certainly not her fault, but it is always good to practise with someone better or sensei, so I kind of hoped we would change partners, too, as we usually do at least for the final try on what we practised, but today we didn't. We also practised shortly the Bo Hojo Undo Ichi in pairs, which was easy to do, and some two exercises with the bo, but I think that was about it. At least for us.

    11:30 - 12:45 - Karate class - bunkai:
    - Luckily sensei could start this class even in this time, when he learnt we were planning to do some kobudo before. Our kobudo teacher went home, he already needed to get some sleep. The three of us stayed + one more person came. Again, not changing partners, we did all the bunkai we know (up to Seiyunchin for me) - once for each side..
When I got to the 7th Seiyunchin bunkai telling the ignorant attacker what to do, I didn't warn her what was coming, as I am sure she'd try to get out of it as soon as she knew it was a throw. I just got a surprised scream instead. Still, managed to put her down gently, though I was a bit worried. It was harder to so this for the other side, she fell right after losing some balance. Sensei saw it and came to attack me in her stead. (Just what I wished for, sensei is much heavier and I didn't feel confident in taking him down too gently, or properly). Well, he fell down at the very same time the other friend did before. I thought he did it somehow on purpose, I didn't feel like he was too dispalanced. But he probably didn't as he tried three times and whe he fell the third time, he at least took me down with him, headfirst :D
Then 1st, 4th and 5th bunkai from GKI, 2nd, 3rd and 4th bunkai from GKN with only one - the more important arm. Practising 5+ times for each side, with sensei's corrections.

At the end we made a circle with one person in the middle and four people attacking with a given attack. As soon as the middle person turnes to the attacker, they attack. First was attack jodan tsuki, defence with the very first bunkai, second round - attack mae geri, defence with the one bunkai from GKN or the other from Saifa. Last round - attack chudan tsuki - defense - whichever bunkai dealing with this (and there are a lot, especially in Seiyunchin), which is confusing. This was hard, but I tried to do as many bunkai as I could think of. I messed up maybe a couple of times, only to hear sensei's shout: "She's confuuused! Get her! Attack quick!"... how nice :D

And one Seiyunchin kata before the end.

It seemes like I got 7 trainings this week! Nice :)

    Tuesday 13.2.17:

I got some work and was therefore a bit late for training. On the way, a careless driver almost crashed into me on a highway, luckily, the one on the other side did pay attention and seeing my quick attempt to squeeze three cars in two lines and made way (luckily he could).

    18:45 - 20:00 - Beginner class:
    - I arrived 15 or so minutes late, but they apparently only just started, so I only missed 4x Gekisai Dai Ichi kata (slowly, for a warm-up)
    - 7 people were in class today, including sensei (and 4 of them men, wow! Historical moment :)), and each counted one kata. Like that we did Gekisai Dai Ichi without the low stances on count - 7x normally, 7x with ura or kagi tsuki in place of normal tsuki, 7x with all hand techniques replaced by their open-handed equivalents, 7x to the right - mirror side (which came to me surprisingly easy today! :) ), 1x full power
    - stretching
    - Partner drills - punches and basic, than not so basic blocks
    - Always 10x some variation of push-ups in between change of techniques (2x normal, 1x with a clap, fingers outward, inward, backward, hands far apart, on ten fingers - very hard for me - sensei pointed out I can't have the fingers as spread as I had, but my joints aren't strong enough to support the weight of my body otherwise. I still had to take a few breaks...)
    - 3 rounds of randori, beign encouraged to use the not-so-usual blocks, and so I tried
    - 50 body-weight exercises of our choice. I didn't feel like push-ups, so I did normal squats, trying to do them low and with a good form

Sensei asked me if I could stay and help him with the next self-defence class. I was a bit reluctant, I originally planned to do some more work today, so I asked what is on the program. It looked like light sparring. I wasn't wery happy about it, becasue of the teeth again, but sensei assured me I will be there mostly as help, the women coming were even, so the only possible partner I may have would be sensei (he was laughing at this point, he was the perpetrator of my injury in the first place! :D). I was pondering what to do, but in the end got stuck in a talk with a few friends, especially one who is going through an interesting and probably not so easy time and I didn't have an opportunity to talk to her like that for some time. I planned to silently dissapear before the self-defence class ends and sensei would find me still in the dojo. He looked like beating me, but I tried to talk my way out of it :D
No, I really regret that I didn't come since he asked me, but I am glad I got to chat with the friend  ... so we talked a bit with the sensei, too, and I got home at about 22:40, so I have no doubt I am more or less going straight to bad anyway....
...and that's precisely how I can't get anything done, lately :D

Tuesday: I skipped the training as the regular sensei is away and head sensei was unsure if he'd come for the adult class. I had some work, os I confirmed he's not coming and decided to skip the class, too. In the end, I heard only two people came :(

    Wednesday 15.2.17:

9:00-10:00 - CrossFit class - On Ramp course:

Today was the fourth and final class of the on ramp course. Meaning from tommorrow I will have 10 days to freely come and join the group classes. The bad news is I am starting to feel like I am getting some cold today - sore throat and that specific tiredness. I hope to get better and perhaps go on Friday group class..

After warm up (10 mins rowing) and stretching while chatting with the instructor, we reviewed everything we did in the previous 3 classes - from body-weight exercises - the instructor checking my form, box jumps, to the horizontal bar - finally I was able to get the feel for how to do the kilping? pull-up, but didn't have enough strenght to pull myself up. Or maybe I made myself believe I won't ba able to and I feared falling or whatever, that I didn't even try my hardest, I think. Not that it necessarily changed anything... I was also told about exercises like tips to bar of knees to elbows on the bar. We went to the medicine ball, throwing it up on the target and to the exercises with kettlebell (a light one, my guess was 6 kg) to try everything I learned, onto the barbell - doing the stuff with the bar only, later adding the weights up to a total weight of 25 kg like last time (the bar included). With that, the instructor tried to explain snatch to me. It was very hard to do it with a good form. There were many things pointed out to me to focus on (trapezii up, pull shoulders back, elbows out, wrists in?, don't look to the side, don't use the right side more, don't pull the head back before the bar, don't put the kneew together, don't put in most of the strenght right from the start, keep the bar to your body, don't lower your butt too much, shoulders to the front, go on your toes, bend the knees right before the final push, pull body back, don't curve the lower back and so on...) Obviously I struggled a lot and as I was already somewhat tired, it was even worse :D
No time for any work-out today, so it wasn't such a tiring lesson, but I am happy I was able to go through everything once more. Though only now I realised we skipped a few of the barbell exercises - the squats and thruster and one more that I remember - too little time.

    Thursday 16.2.17:

A friend, somehow, learned the newest member of the adult class - a very nice, but very timid girl, has her 18th birthday today. Since Tuesday I started a conversation with the regulars of the adult class about how to celebrate and what present to give. My original idea was aquarelle, as she wants to pursue art, but in the end, someone thought about buying her a karate gi (she didn't have one yet) and it passed. A friend went to the shop near her house, tried some on, we commented and picked one. Today we threw a small party in the dojo. She got a "hobla" at the end of the training, we brought some non-alko celebratory drinks and even found the celebrating girl brought a cake. She absolutely didn't expect we knew or would be prepared and seemed very happy about the whole thing, as she probably never had a party before. She is probably going to her first grading tommorrow, so a great opportunity to try the gi presents itself right off the bat! :)

I originally planned to hit the free crossfit class tommorrow morning, but seeing as I got home at midnight, I don't think I want to anymore. Let's see if I gather energy for an evening class...

    19:00-20:30 - Beginner karate class:
    - Warm-up with a 1000 tsuki (varied methods)
    - Stretching
    - In the birthday conversation being full of girls except for sensei and one other man, sensei made a general warning we'll be in need of sport type bras for today's training as Sanchin was on schedule! :D He indeed invited is to undress the top part of the gi. I got a new bra and immediately had two friends come over to inspect it including how "firm" it is. I didn't have my glasses but still could faintly feel sensei rolling his eyes :D Well, you know,... girls :D
    - We started with several exercises in seiza - the breathing. Sensei explained and we tried the methods - slow or fast and strong or not both inhale and exhale, or either one and all the types. Including breathing in with one nostril covered, prolonging the breath. We tried to focus on the correct breathing, then did one Sanchin kata and a second one (or two?) with sensei going around and giving shime. I was surprised by the loud slapping sounds even at the lower belts and could almost feel a cold sweat gathering on my back :D He didn't go very easy, but only did two rounds of three consecutive slaps on my calves and for us two brown belts he also went to slapping the shoulders /trapezii to be more precise). Ouch (and I had them sore from yesterday's training too, though that was only a minor worry at that time :D). A bruise already successfully formed on (only) one of my calves and I have some, luckily only faint red marks on shoulders. Sensei knows his stuff... :D
    - Pads: 30 tsuki and 30 mae (kin) geri for each side
    - Final kata to calm down - Seiyunchin for me.
    - Stretching
    - No one bothered to dress back up, so we had sort of an unusual fonal etiquette half-naked :D

Oh, and today, exactly four weeks after the accident, I went to the dentist to try and repair my tooth once again! I originally went there because of another one, but called in advance the previous filling fell out after four hours. I also asked the dentist if he could please not drill anymore in case no filling stays there and at least the hole I have stays as it is. Which was, luckily, a sentiment he shared. I got a new filling, a different one that tasted really bad and maybe could have made the tooth sticky and was put in in layers. It holds so far, so I am happy and hope it will last :)

    Friday 17.2.17:

Yesterday I treated my feeling of weakness as an incoming cold and battled it with a strong ginger tea with lemon and honey. I have slight cough, but other than that, the cold was chased away! And so I gathered energy for my first group CrossFit training today. To my delight, the evening classes were half empty. I was there with two guys. The training was lead by the instructor who worked with me before, so that was nice.

    19:00 - 20:00 - CrossFit:

    - Warm up: 5 mins of: 30 jumps over a skipping rope (I guess there is a shorter name for it in English, but I am not sure, so here it is), 10 (bodyweight) squats, 5 squats with a (for me) 10 kg weight to lift over head and touch it ot the floor when down.
    - The main program today was handstand push-ups ("yaaaay" :lowblow:). Well, it would be boring if there was nobody to laugh at, right? :D The guys were adding stuff under their hands to keep doing deeper and deeper (kilping) push-ups, for me, my task was to try to do the handstand properly (at a wall). First try, I slammed my heels into the wall and bounced back off. Since then I was much more careful, often not pushing my feet off enough, especially when the instructor tried to get me to put the hands a bit further from the wall, trying to make me think it would be easier :D In the end, I practised going down in the handstand push-up and standing on my head, too. My neck didn't feel too strong. I then practised bending the knees and imitating the kilp. I did kick up, but wasn't too confident to push up, too. I tried but felt like I might fell, so immediately stopped pushing. That was the most I could do. :bang:
    - After we moved straight to the Workout of the Day, which was either 5 rounds or 15 minutes of: 50 double-under jumps over a skipping rope or 150 single-unders, 15 overhead squats with supposedly 40 kg barbell and 12 toes-to-bars on a horizontal bar. As for me, I got (thank goodness!) an easier version. I tried the double-unders. I can apparently do them, but like one at a time, stop, prepare for another and so on. Instead of trying to learn to do them well, I chose the 150 single-unders. As for overhead squats, I don't thing I did them before. Instructor explained and had me do them with only the 15 kg empty bar. Since she'd previously seen I can't do the toes-to-bars well, I only had to lift the knees to chest (much easier, yay!). When we started, I soon lost the guys. They did the double-unders, which was apparently about twice as fast as what I did . The rope often getting caught under my not too suitable shoes didn't help much, but although I tried to do the skipping fast and didn's slack off, jumped up as little as I could, I was still much slower. As for the squats, the instructor kept reminding me about the problems of my form and I didn't dare to hurry them up. The knees up on the bar were quite ok as long as I clenched my teeth and did them as fast as I could, before my grip on the bar failed me. Because of the skipping, the guys finished their 5th round when I finished my 4th. In the 15 mins limit, I managed 4,5 rounds - the half round being the 150x skipping and 9 squats.
    - Stretching

    - Feeling exhausted, but managed to stand on my feet, leaning on the hanging rings, watching the guys lying flat on the floor. It was tough for me. Most of the things we did were something I am not used to, but this getting out of my comfort zone is also kind of motivating. I feel spent now, with a weird feeling spreading through my arms :D Lets see if I can lift them up tommorrow :D

Heraclius: Thanks! :) I generally thought so, but when you want to say that you need to do a certain number of jumps? Do I just say I sipped 30x? It somehow doesn't sound right to me...

    Saturday 18.2.17:

Surprisingly I am not sore from yesterday. I had no training, but the whole evening our karate group was invited to one of our friends to a sushi party - making our own sushi, drinking, playing a table game. It was a great evening. Because Sunday morning we'd have a training in the dojo, I decided against travelling back home and then again to the dojo in the morning and slept in the dojo. Went to sleep at around 3:40 AM, wakind up at 8:30. No prayed did actually stop the time :(

    Sunday 19.2.17:

9:45 (everyone was slightly late or not too fresh either after the sushi party or for sensei after a night shift) - 11:20 - Kobudo:
    - We worked a lot with sai today - repeated the basic techniques - part of the sai hojo undo we knew and trying the blocks and strikes in pairs - sai against bo, bo against sai, rubber sai against rubber sai and rubber sai against stuffed bo.
    - Sensei briefly showed the nunchaku techniques - only showed - he was traing them against the bo.
    - That, I think was all for today, we did practise the sai techniques well, so I think today's training was great.

    11:30 - 12:45 - Karate class:
    - Sensei and two other people came for karate training, the four of us from kobudo (including sensei) stayed.
    - I had to eat a snack and so we missed the initial Sanchin
    - We worked on the basic three types of kakie (sticky hands). Chenging partners occasionaly we then practised the Gekisai Dai Ichi bunkai from kakie and similar bunkai, but done from the outside and changed accordingly.
    - Kakie + bunkai is something we didn't do for a while but I think is one of those things specific for a traditional karate, so I am glad I didn't miss the training

    - Lunch at a chinese restaurant + fighting a tough battle not to fall asleep
