all of which only serves to highlight how ridiculous the who set up is. Let's see... omnipotent being... yep... can create or destroy anything... yep.... but couldn't manage to right a rule book and set of tales that was universally understandable... applicable and wasn't prone to getting messed up and mucked about by mere mortal humans... some hairless apes who only managed to walk upright a short time ago?!?!?!

    BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Popul Vuh discovery may rewrite Maya history. An important artifact discovered in the city of El Mirador appears to be a carved relief depicting the Popul Vuh, the Mayan story of creation which has many parelels with the Biblical story of creation. In the past, these parallels were dismissed as the product of cross cultural contamination, as Spanish Catholic influence.
however, this Popul Vuh artifact dates back to the BC era and the tainted by Catholics theory may have to be tossed out once and for all. www.theldslife.blogspot.com/2009/11/cnn-transcript-mayan-temples-of-book-of.html

Hmmm... ok this thread is really just carrying on and on with the same sort of nonsense it started with. Most of it being unsubstantiated fact with little evidence to support any of it.

I think the thread needs a breath before we get inundated with even more links that don't support any of the ridiculous theories being foisted. I'm afraid if we keep going... Dionne Warwick's Psychic Friends Hotline will get dragged in as support... and I can't have that.

    Thread closed pending MOD review.

I can't be bothered watching the clip, so could someone just tell me whether she answers any questions about Moon Quakers?

She was asking the questions herself and deliberately chose ridiculous accusations and she still was wishy washy and unconfident in her answers.

Also, "polygamy was neccesary because there were too many women".

What exactly was the goal posting this video? You're not secretly anti-mormon or something?

I think you missed the point here. She is trying to be both informative an funny at the same time.

    I got some questions.....

How do you account for the stunning parallels in both content and order between the B of M and the View of the Hebrews, by Ethan Smith? Published in 1823 (7 years before the B of M) less than 100 miles from the Joseph Smith's parents home.

If the original 1830 Book of Mormon was inspired than why were there so many errors and changes and additions and deletions, when compared to current editions?

If the Book of Mormon is true, then why has the Mormon church changed it? (Over 3913 changes in the book of Mormon, excluding punctuation changes.)

Why was Joseph Smith still preaching against polygamy in October 1843 after he got his revelation in July 1843 commanding the practice of polygamy?

If the Book of Mormon is true, why do Indians fail to turn white when they become Mormons? (2 Nephi 30:6, prior to the 1981 revision).

And that is just touching the surface.......

    1) There are a lot of paralells between the Book of Mormon and the Dead Sea scrolls to. Do you think Joseph Smith read the scrolls which weren't discovered until 100 years after his death?
Book of Mormon has been edited over the years because of grammatical errors Joseph Smith made in his translation. He was not an educated man. In fact he never finished grade school, so his spelling, punctuation etc was not the best.
Joseph Smith never practiced nor condoned polygamy nor did he have any revelations to do so. You're thinking of Brigham Young.
Don't be ridiculous. We are all children of God regardless of race.

Why does she keep looking off camera? It reminds me of these Al Queda hostage videos where a controller in the background is forcing them to say the "right thing".

Why did God leave it so late to "reveal" to the Mormons that black people were OK afterall?

I don't know. You'd have to ask Him.

Ok you got me. I kidnapped her and forced her to make this video.

    I did. He said this...

"Joseph Smith made it all up. Mormon's were racist like much of America at that time and this was reflected in their made up rules and doctrines. When the rest of the world became more enlightened in race relations they ended up having to invent a new fake revelation that black people were actually OK, could hold places in the LDS hierarchy etc. Wider civil rights legislation and an advacning moral zeitgeist had made their racist opinions and rules untendable in the modern era".

I guess God really is all knowing? Wow. He know's his onions.

You do know Joseph Smith was an abolitionist? He preached against slavery. Hardly a racist for his time.
