Kumite ( Doest it still exist/go on)

What part of secret society do you not get? Obviously they brainwashed you and everybody else on the planet into thinking that the tournament didn't happen. Well, apparently everyone besides Frank Dux.

 

Or it could be that the 6 billion people on earth who participated in the kumite got KO'd so hard by Dux none of us remember it.

 

Nah. It doesn't make you look like an un-informed moron. You were misinformed. That's all. And that's hardly your fault. Believe me, I'm sure everybody here believed something pretty outlandish about martial arts at one time or another.

I've heard Frank Dux's story (book on tape), The Secret Man. My opinion: It's a complete load of rubbish.

That said, don't think you've wasted your time. Stories like this are commonplace in martial arts. Perhaps your paper could cover fraud instead of quasi-mythical tournaments.

Unmitigated tripe

Dux is an utter fraud on all levels

 

I participated in the bloodsport kumite. It was epic. Some slight differences from the movie version though: it wasn't until knockout and you had to use a pillow for any blows. Ask me anything.
