    Hi Guys

If this has been asked before then I'll apologise now but does any one know of any JKD classes in Rochdale, Oldham or Manchester area (NW England).

I did a search on the JKD forum but it turned up no results

Thanks in advance for your help

What "flavour" of JKD are you looking for.

I have some good contacts but it depends on how hung up on the Bruce Lee thing you are.

Not sure what 'flavour' but I'm not too hung up on the Buce Lee thing if the instructer is good and reputable, and the concept works.

    cheers

I've been to the one in Manchester, Steve Powell's.

He seemed a sound bloke (with a history linked to Inosanto) and there was a lot of talent in the classes. But they're expensive (and for what you pay, I'd expect top-class equipment. ). If you like Brucey though there's a crapload of photos and pictures hung up everywhere. Plus they get in blokes like Rick Young from Scotland for seminars

Karl Tanswell teaches in the same building, I believe, and runs the Straight Blast Gym - http://www.karltanswell.co.uk/sbg.html. He also popped in to the JKD classes once in a while.

They also do Muay Thai in the same building, above the JKD floor, although unfortunately the times for it tend to clash with the JKD ones.

It's a shame really, because living in one building with JKD, Muay Thai and BJJ could train you into a practically the most rounded and brutal MMArtist you could get.
