It's easy to make assumptions and psychoanalyze or blame a messenger rather than to contemplate conflicting or challenging information and do with it as one will.

Like I've said, forget what you know, look at something from a different angle, drop your pride, even if its just temporarily.

So take it or leave it.

I've said all I had to say

I could be wrong I could be right, but you can't convince me it doesn't work or is garbage because I've been into this for years, and not just books, tapes, interviews, studies and papers but actually doing the wet-work, applying the knowledge and investigating further and coming to my own conclusions. Which are not rigid, but are willing to adapt and be flexible, lest the stagnation of rigidity crush my soul.

I don't need to repeat myself.

Figure it out on your own, I've just pointed and said, ''Hey check that out if you want to''.

I'm going to go and enjoy this awesome Saturday.

    Peace ;)

Naked appeal to authority. This does not support your interpretation of QM.

That's exactly what you've been doing. The difference is there's evidence on our side and movie trailers on yours.

Yep, this is what every faith healer believes because confirmation bias is very, very real. That's the reason we have the scientific process and why it's so damn stringent.

Frankly I doubt it.....I think you THINK you know, and it's an honestly held conviction.....I just genuinely think you do not

I dont mean the effect, I mean WHAT it is - as there is an extensive field of research looking into it and they still do not fully grasp it, the chances of you actually knowing is zero.

When you dismiss it as "cannot be just placebo" you betray this fact

I'm skeptical of this comment. I need you to prove it.

Which one of the three do you need him to prove and which burden of proof will satisfy each?

The fact that I have not posted any evidence YET, because I've been preoccupied with other things, does not mean that I don't have any. It just means you guys aren't very patient. See the other thread. It's up to Philosoraptor to choose where I even begin when it comes to evidence.

I was referring to his irony meter - which part are you skeptical of?

you're going to prove god? this should be interesting.

you know what i would be more interested in? prove that zeus DOESN'T exist.

I'm not going to prove anything. I'm going to give Philosoraptor the evidence he asked for. It is up to you whether it is convincing enough for you or not. But I will say this. If it is not. Don't be a judge because according to the author who has a background in law, if it is not convincing enough for you, if you were a judge in a court room, the majority of criminals that have been found guilty by most judges and juries would most likely be set free with no charge if you were a judge.

"according to the author" - my friend that is lawyer double speak at work and you have swallowed it....according to every lawyer their clients are innocent and their cases are watertight

Not to rain on your enthusiasm parade, but this is not an auspicious start

This is an appeal to authority. The evidence stands apart from the author and his qualifications - the burden of proof required to support Christianity is also much higher than it is to convict someone of a crime.

actually, i was just trying to be funny with my zeus bit. sorry, apparently i was the only one that got it--dumb on me. lol

i don't know what you're getting at with the judge and jury bit.

it seems that faith helps you. yes? if so, i'm glad that you find faith useful and relevant in your daily live.

i'm not a believer. i find that not-believing is useful and relevant in my life.
