dsm, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most Aikido schools (as others have pointed out) don't even bother with belt colors. I started Aikido 6 years ago, and have never tested for promotion (don't ask me how much of the past 6 years have been spent in the Aikido dojo, that's not so impressive).
Thanks for the replies guys well finally got a mention of being graded when i went training last night, they said they will test me for white within the next few weeks!
