I have had a pair of these for - oh I am not sure - but at least 3-4 years. The seams are coming apart. Until that, I have been very happy with them. But I am not sure if I should buy the same pair or a different brand. Is that a good time for longevity of gloves if they are used 1 or more times a week? All the top Thai brands will be solid. I personally really like the higher end Sandee gear. I also find all the hyabusa stuff I own to be really well made and durable. And yes that lifespan is good if you ask me (3-4yrs). Amount of use a temperature all play a part but I'd be happy with far less longevity in my gloves.
Top Ten are always good quality I've found. I have a pair of ten- and twelve-ouncers which have lasted 3 or 4 years of regular use and are still going strong.
I've been content with my 16-oz Title bag gloves. They're almost 2 years old (October) and show no sign of wear. Title runs sales now and then, where you can get the thing you're looking for at a significant discount.
My knock off brand Thai-ger, has lasted me about 6 years before it essentially deflated, but still usable. My Twins boxing gloves lasted me about 3yrs and the gloves are now a bit compressed from the impacts. My Venum (14oz) are still going strong after about 2yrs. Those things are like pillows. Love em.
Gloves should last you 3-4 years easily. I think Raye Cleates could probably last forever but they're ridiculously expensive. As other have said, any Thai gear. Twins, Sandee, Fairtex.
On my way to buy new gloves this evening, the only question is am I going to by a pair of boxing gloves or a pair of MMA gloves. I prefer MMA gloves but my last pair did something strange, they lasted about 3 years but then the knuckle pads got hard, think take the padding out and insert a board.
MMA fight gloves arnt meant for long term heavy pad work, MMA sparring gloves will last longer, but really using the right tool for the right job will prolong they're life.
