Hi all. My name is Terence lock. I did some escrima training back in the late 90s. I did not attend a conventional training centre or class. I trained with an amazing man called Nep Rosales. He trained with and alongside pat omally and John Harvey back I the day. It's a long story how I started to train with him.... bit like karate kid . He trained me for a good while but I have not formally done any more training since 1999 ish... i live in broadstairs Kent now and need to get back into it.... I'm itching for it now... not sure what that's about!
Welcome to MAP. I'm not to far from you in Maidstone. Although I never trained with John Harvey I did train with those that have, including Guro Lee Banda. We do have guys here who will have trained with John.
I never got to meet him. Nep Now used to tell me stories. I met a guy called Danny cobba Nep said he was amazing. I need to find somewhere to train. Don't fancy travelling to London though but would. Willing to travel though
That could be the spelling. He came to our work and I had a session with him. Great man. We had about an hour... he gave me great advice that day
I'll put out the feelers. I was a private student of Danny's for a while and some of his guys teach in Kent. I think the Chatham class is full, but there is a place in Sevenoaks. As I say I'll put out the feelers.
They can be contacted here. Sevenoaks Guba Doce Pares The guy in the yellow suit is Nimesh, one of Danny's guys. he teaches out of Bromley I believe. If you have no luck with the guys at Sevenoaks let me know and I'll give Nimesh a call. Guro Lee Banda is a world champion Eskrimador and 5th dan black belt under Danny Guba and teaches in Tunbridge Wells, Martial arts in Tonbridge, Kent. Tell him Simon Sheridan recommended him.
He sure is, although I've not seen him for a few years. He is active with several schools in his name. Homepage | Guba Doce Pares International
