Shadow boxing is an exercise in form and footwork... I suggest you slow it down and actually look at your technique.
Are you currently formally training under an instructor? I see little if any hip movement with your punching technique which while fast severely limits power generation. As Knee Rider stated it shadow boxing is an excellent training tool, one of many alongside bag/pad work, sparring ect. but is limited practically on its own. Slow it down and work on refining your technique, Its a marathon not a sprint and you will only ingrain bad habits.
Pretty sure I'd be happy walking straight on to that punch. Looks to have little to no stopping power...
Without wanting to sound mean, and I only took a look at two of his videos, but it looks a bit, like when our kids play before training
Why is your non punching hand spasming? Also which country are you in? We can direct you to a suitable class to harness your talent
The speed of a punch is only impressive when viewed in ratio with its power and mechanics etc. Your 'punch' isn't a punch in my view. It's weak, has no structure and isn't even particularly fast. You look like you don't train.
Your YT channel has a lot of videos called "insane superfast" etc etc on all the titles, is everything you do superfast? If so what does your partner think about this?
Welcome to the forum. Why do the video titles claim to show you punching, then? I hope you are open to receiving some positive critique that will help you out. First, where did you learn to practice like this?
So you guys find boring stuff, have you heard of "The Art Of Fighting Without Fighting", There No Style exist since Style is self crystallization off your self. Punches in my video are like 50 milliseconds or some are even faster may be like 40 ms(I throwing from distance approx 2 feet). So if you still find that those are even not punches etc.. Let me tell you even for a very trained martial artist moving your limbs that fast is very tough work , If you still find it joke, please share your videos with such faster hand speed.
As an isolation exercise, maybe... but it is still not so useful. The real skill is the command of distance, setup and timing to get a powerful shot with the body behind it in. If you only focus on speed then you will only ever get good at playing tag.
Speed is nothing with some stopping power behind your strikes, If your hitting as demonstrated in your videos the threat to your opponent is minimal and all your doing is wasting your energy and wearing yourself out. There is a place for lighter, faster strikes i.e. blasting through your opponents centre but they are used as an entry to throw something more powerful or enter into a grapple/throw. Are you self training or training and if so how long and in what?
So you're throwing punches at 2 feet in a straight line. As others have said controlling distance is key to a fight. An opponent only needs to stay 2.1 feet away from you and then move out to the side and break you by punching/kicking/grappling. Footwork is important - do you have any footwork videos?
