hey guys, i have a real procratination problem. i have a bench at home plus dumb bells. i think i'm too young to go to a gym, im 16. until then, any ideas on how i could stop putting off weight training and get to it? School isn't really a problem either, so i have plenty of time. i really want to get into a routine, 'preciate it
I don't think there is any magic way to motivate yourself, the only thing you need to do is start training. Keep it up for a couple of weeks and you will notice the immediate results, keep it up for a few months and your body will become used to it - you will feel like training without any further motivation. In my experience people that quit a gym or martial arts club do so after about three or four months, those who get past this mark stick with it and training becomes natural . You can try setting short term goals for yourself if that helps you, but the important thing is to keep going. Find a routine that you like and stick to it for a good while - also important. I'd say that 16 is just the right age to start any kind of physical activity, so get to it!
