...sometimes called the "leg dive" and the like.

    callsignfuzzy Is not a number!

At the risk of being nit-picky, some of those look like a fireman's carry or a variation thereof. While only one leg is attacked, I would put it in a different class of throws/takedowns.

Pics 7 and 9? Yeah, they could end up that way. IMS, the text doesn't specify it that way, but, to be fair, often these old texts are a bit obtuse to modern readers.

Any possibility you could reveal the sources of these?

The first you have quoted is from Dick's Art of Wrestling and the following two from Petter's Wrestling.

Thanks Kirk, I knew the style of the pics looked familiar but couldn't place them.

    Shame on me... :D

I currently have them loaded in my flickr photo stream.

    It lists the relevant details.

I'll eventually delete them to make way for others, but, for now, they reside there.

The first looks like a mirror of Parkyns' flying horse except for the foot position. Nice to see.

Gotta love the classics. ^^ While the takedown itself is a bit different, the use of the head and shoulder to control the lower leg, on the last pic, reminded me of a low single leg we use in sub grappling class. :)

I thought that Parkyn's "Flying Horse" was closer to pic 6 or 8 in this list.
