ok, a while ago I tried aikido and found myself at a mcdojo of the highest order. Still been missing joint manipulation since my Bujnkan sensei retired for health issues and I transitioned into Judo and Goju Ryu. Found out theres an Aikido club thats really cheap near me and I went to try it out. Ok so today was beginners class. Lots of stretching and ukemi/knee walking to warm up. Did a lot of wrist locks and some compliance work, some pins and a few throws. What was nice was the non-competetive atmosphere and the friendliness. The last one I tried was anti-every other art and badmouthing of other schools and systems was high. This was non of that and I felt super welcome. Monday night is a weaponry class, which is around kenjutsu and jo staff work. Really looking forward to it. I feel this will compliment my other training a lot
