Does it have a comprehensive sword system in Aikiken? Or is it more a case of taking elements of sword to convey certain lessons?
Wolfie it seems sees the components as martial arts. One of the systems I study contains jujutsu, iai and Kenjutsu. Each one is linked to the other and the teaching reflects this. Each one I would say is a skill set contained within the ryu-ha. The ryu-ha is what I study. Could I study each part in isolation well yes to a degree but it wouldn't be the ryu-ha and I'd miss a large part if the transmission by doing so. You could argue though that each part is a martial art, personally I don't see it that way as it doesn't lend itself well to koryu. Doesn't this simply come down to how a person views the various components that make up Aikido?
Some nice stuff, but it looks to me like the bald headed guy is using a lot of strength to execute the techniques, really muscling it on a bit. Anyone else?
I'm not sure he was muscling it, because his posture and movements were good. He just looks very stiff in the shoulders. I would not have picked him for the demo, because you're not supposed to be stiff in the shoulders.

I really don't like to see uke failing around like a kipper. It just makes me think it's fake or nage is taking liberties.
