Build muscle without weights?

    I love bodyweight training,but it's hard to progress in term of max strength especially.

    I can add half a pound to my bench every session,or maybe every other session,I can't really progress a press up in that way.
    Obviously we have different types of press up,but they're all different exercises entirely.

    I first achieved a 1 armed press up when I was 15 using the 'grease the groove method' with progression,I stacked a load of CD cases under myself and went down that far,every week I took one away until I could touch the floor with my chest and press back up.
    So if you have no access to weights there are other ways,but they're not as good imo.

    So to sum up,progressive overload is key,not how you apply resistance.
