Do you think it will be on Discovery channel ? Or will it just be on the DVD extra's ? Thanks for letting me know I am fascinated by Baritsu, (also Defendu).
Why the Sherlock Holmes angle? He was a fictional character, kinda suggest the martial art is also fictional. I'm guessing its not. P.S. I watched it with no sound, at work, so maybe I am missing something.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote that Holmes practiced "Baritsu", a misspelling of Bartitsu. Best regards, -Mark
I understand the documentary will be available for download and possibly for sale as a DVD. I'd love to see it on TV though!
I was asked to do some animated sequences for the program using Victorian illustrations and bringing them to life! louie
The other significance of Sherlock Holmes is that we probably wouldn't know about Bartitsu if Sir Arthur Conan Doyle hadn't written "baritsu" in to Holmes' fight with Professor Moriarty.
