Only some of his promises. But yes, the issue here is the sort of people that want what he promises.

Professional politicians routinely lie to the voters by intentionally not doing what they promised to do. Well, hello, a huge percentage of American voters are sick of that. They're done voting that way. But Trump actually keeps his promises -- therefore, he wins. :]

Drain the swamp, clean coal, not cutting Medicaid (tax cuts will do that) millionaires will not benefit from tax cuts, tough on crime (backing an accused pedophile isn't tough on crime), locking her (hilary) up, cheap healthcare, jobs are coming back, building a wall, looking after the little guy (he must of meant his sons) getting sick of winning so much............

All these things, he has not done.

And this is the essence of why Trump is so bad for the country.

National level politicians don't lie to the people just because they're scumbags that can't stand to be truthful (although some are). They lie because politics is NOT black and white. Here's a situation to illustrate ... a politician tells the people he guarantees a chicken in every pot. Then when he gets elected and tells his cabinet of experts that he wants to get a chicken in every pot, they tell him that the only way to do that is to take the money from the widows and orphan's fund and kick them all out in the street to starve. The politician then has to decide which would be best for the country. Should he put a chicken in every pot as he promised and sentence all the widows and orphans to slow starvation in the street, or should he feed and house the widows and orphans and break the promise he made to those that elected him?

Granted this is a very basic invented situation. The reality is much more nuanced than that, and compromises are what make the government run. However, when you compromise, nobody gets exactly what they want. For myself, I don't WANT for the majority of people to get exactly what they want. Most people are focused on their own needs and desires, and have very little knowledge on how that affects either the future our country, or society in general. Just because people say they want something doesn't make it the best thing to do. The politicians that we elect are supposed to be the ones figuring out what is best and implementing it. Not that they've been doing much of that lately ... :)

Trump's problem is that his narcissism prevents him from actually listening to the people that understand all the ramifications of complex situations. Trump feels that he knows best, and bulls along with whatever he decides.

I said every day and well, every day.

Trump administration sued for allowing fracking companies to dump unlimited waste in Gulf of Mexico

Trump's legislative plan is to allow oil platforms to dump whatever they want into the Atlantic. One of my most formative memories of childhood was snorkeling through the Caribbean and learning about the coral reef ecosystems. They are extraordinarily delicate and already suffering stress from environmental degradation. Perhaps more compelling is the role that the Gulf plays in making seafood, tourism, and ecological services for people throughout the Americas. It's truly incredibly tragic.

With regard to Trump's lying and the promises he keeps, well, he lied about being a populist.

The Myth Of Trump's Economic Populism, As Proven By The Tax Bill

Despite his promises, we know that he and the Republicans have engineered a tax bill that will raise taxes on their ideological enemies, will hurt middle and lower classes, while benefitting the wealthy. Paul Ryan is already discussing cutting entitlements like social security, welfare, medicaid and medicare. This despite Trump's promises that he would not allow for that.

Trump has selectively kept his promises; he has been the blowhard who sticks it to the liberals and 'tells it like it is,' with 'it' being regressive and racially biased opinions, as often as he promised he would.

Yeah, everything about Roy Moore I find creepy. Whether it's his direct endorsement of eradicating the separation of church and state, his history as a pedophile, his implicit support of slavery. I hope that this is an albatross on the necks of Republican candidates in 2018, but I've kind of given up on conservative's acting in anything resembling a decent manner at this point.

Republicans used to make a huge deal about the rule of law and traditional morality but uhh, yeah.

    Saw this today.

It doesn't matter what comes out about Moore. It's all fake news funded by Soros, or if it's not then he's a Christian so he can just say sorry. But of course Al Franken is an evil sexual predator who is beyond redemption. One rule for us, another rule for you.

This video is interesting, especially when it comes to race issues in Alabama, from both the Democrat and Republican campaigns:

How can a 14 year old have a questionable reputation that justifies pedophilia?

Because it wasn't that long since 14yr olds in Alabama were getting married and their mothers would be delighted that they were groped by a district attorney... and they're being paid by Soros to lie about it... and he's a good Christian so the little hussy probably led him astray because she's a satanic Soros-funded honey trap... Hillary drinks baby blood and smells of sulphur don't you know...
