LOL!! Oh, that hurts. That is painfully embarrassing for the little girl and she doesn't even know it. Oh, yes! One of the best shows ever, at least through season 6.
My evil plan is to tell her, right when she hits puberty I hardly saw any episodes from... just to be sure: Spoiler after Castle and Beckett started their relationship I wasn't sure what to made of that. But the few episodes I saw actually at least weren't that bad. That's the downside of training: Until I am home, nothing useful is on the telly
Binge-ing on American Vandal. It's a mockumentary, done like Serial or other true crime like events. A teenager is suspended from school for being fingered as the culprit who spray painted large (ahem) male genitalia on 27 teacher's cars. Although, a known prankster. He is adamant of his innocence...and it is down to one group of media students to prove it. It is really immature. Kinda like American Pie and Drop Dead Gorgeous (which is kinda making me want to watch it now...) The show is actually very well prepared and planned out, so I'm quite impressed. As a former Production Assistant for film and tv shows...I can see the amount of work placed into this very serious...very immature content show. I thought it was going to be boring...I mean, how long can they string out this premise? Turns out. Very long.
Netflix has emailed me (we're close like that) and it seems the first two episodes of the new 'Star Trek' - 'Star Trek: Discovery' have dropped. I'll be pointing my peepers at that when I finally escape from work...
When I'm not missing it on TV I am watching "The Strain". I missed a few episodes, but what I saw so far doesn't seem to be too shabby. I think I might have a look at the DVD-sets. Same for "Z-Nation". But since it's only or two episodes a week, I admit I keep forgetting it, when I'm not looking in the TV paper by any chance.
Watching Discovery obviously. Very much rebooted Star Trek complete with lens flares. If you're after an old school Trek hit The Orville is a better bet.
To catch up with Star Trek lore I've started watching Enterprise, which I'm really enjoying. A bit more adult than most Star Trek.
I seem to be a minority, but I loved Enterprise! I was seriously disappointed that it only got four seasons
I really liked enterprise, as its on netflix, I'm watching seasons 2 to 4 which i'd missed somehow! edit - on UK TV, the wierd soft filter thing they put on the broadcast, makes it look terrible, Ive recently upgraded to a 4k TV, with that, and playing around with the settings, ive got the US style picture to work, and it looks great. plus as a bonus, Commander T'Pol / Jolene Blalock is in it! so far Discovery is awesome too, havnt been able to watch the orville yet, but i plan on binge watching it when i can.
Now i am watching " A centaurs life" (dont jduge its addictive) And need to finish watching "interviews with monster girls" Again, its addictive. They dont have "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" on crunchy rolll. Also "coreys in the house" is now a Anime and has a page on a anime review/fan website. If we are havign a star trek conversation, i ahvent seen all of the original series, but i have watched all of the next generation, Voyager, enterprise and was watching some of deep space nine as it cropped up on TV, i did start putting them on when on Netflix as background sound. (DS9 and original) I have also seen most of not all of the roignal films possess them and have seen a few of the other ones. Going to say it now, the Federation is Fascist and the Klingons are the good guys.
I like The Orville, but it's not as funny as you think it's going to be. However it's really great as a less po-faced, thought exploring rather than thought provoking version of TNG
I loved Enterprise too. Apparently what killed it, was low ratings. It appeared that Trek is not built for multi-season long story archs. There was a lot of adult in it, but I found it lots of fun. The general Time travel stuff got a bit weary though.
I'm currently destroying House of Cards (Spacey) Really enjoying it. Need to focus on it quite a bit, so it's affecting my Starcraft playing.
This weekend I discovered that Netflix has a new season of "Gotham" -- so that's where I'll be. I hope there's not too much Fish Mooney because (1) I really don't like the idea of bringing people back from the dead as monster/antagonists/whatever -- it's just stupid to me; and (2) Smith plays that character over the top. She's just too much. The Penguin, though -- I hope there's more of him! And let's develop the Riddler into a full-on villain!
I'm filling my eyes with 'The X-Files' Season 10 over on Amazon Prime. I was a huge fan of the show back in the day, and, this latest season (think it came out last year) is so far, meh to okay. I love seeing Mulder and Scully back on my TV screen, I just wish this season had a bit more 'Oomph' going for it. Still, I am only 4 episodes in, it gets better, right? Right?
Trying to watch Walking Dead season 7 but it is awful. Watched it from season 1 and it's a massive drop of in quality and watchability to start season 7.
This week I'm looking forward to the second run of Vice Principles. I watched it again recently and loved it again.
